In to report noob gains. Up to 175 dl, 155 squat.
Anyone know of a good tutorial on how to unrack bar for front squat? Not getting the bar on my shoulders completely. Might be a mobility issue.

This week has been solid.

Next week, I'll go for two sets of 5 with 525 on deadlifts, 335 on bench, and 515 on squats

Yup, I've been lifting there for a little under a year now. It's a unique gym..

Charly are you switching over to sumo now? Lockout looks really solid compared to conventional. What federation is that a paused bench in? Sweet stuff, that squat music.

Is this the case for all simple sugars or just fructose? Either way really good to know.

I believe he always pulled sumo in competition.

Might be. I'm working on sumo at the moment.

Some of those reps in the beginning of the sets were a bit fast but the latter ones would pass in most feds. USAPL is known to over-exaggerate the pause. The pause was never intended for that. It was so that guys didn't bounce the weight.

At RPS meets (the fed I usually compete in), the pauses are a bit longer. Which I have no issue with. Pausing it not a problem for me. But holding the weights for multiple reps is fatiguing, which is why I cut the pauses a bit shorter in training.

Skip to 2:50 for third bench attempt.

First two attempts, the pauses were wayyyyy too long but it was my fault because I told the head judge to delay the pause command because I thought about doing a sink and press but I didn't.

Which is fine because it all worked out in the end and again, I don't really mind a longer pause on singles. Doesn't really affect me since I've learned how to generate a lot of speed off my chest.

I've always done conventional.

This is actually my first time actually giving sumo a shot. Been at it for about 3 months with just light weight and volume. About my 3rd week going heavy with it.

Gotcha. I'm going to start pausing my first rep next week, see how it goes. Will probably stable me to the bench.

These two seem legit. Fitness factory looks awesome, open 24 hours and looks simple.

I switched from conventional to sumo over my past 2 deadlift days and yesterday, I was able to hit 295 for 5 on my first set and then 305 for 5 (PR).

I tried 305 for my final set and only got as far as 1 rep. shog[1].gif

just fructose. The effect is almost entirely negligible in the long run since it's converted into glycogen in the liver anyway. since you're likely to not be consuming straight fructose it's nothing to worry about.

When I learned fsquat what really helped was PVC pipe mobility for the elbows and shoulders. One of the other tips that someone told me that changed my fsquat for the better was when you wind up your arms to get under the bar, lift your elbows up and push your boobs together.
