What compression shorts you using? Been trying the Nike ones, the longer pro version and the normal ones but they keep riding up when I tried some air squats. The general consensus on sizing compression shorts? Read that some people wants them super tight and some that wear them a bit looser.
thanks man. the speed is definitely something i've had to develop... i do paused squats afterwards as assistance and then speed work where i'm focusing entirely on forceful acceleration out of the hole. the paused work has really helped me out in that respect; in terms of mental cues, instead of fighting the weight all the way up, i think about creating momentum to push me through the ROM and then simply staying tight throughout to support the bar through said ROM. if i don't get a good boost out of the hole the lift is much, much more difficult.
i'm using the pro combats... i *think* the longer ones? i seem to remember 9" but i could be wrong; they stop just above the knee. i like having them super tight; i wear an XL with a thigh measurement of 24", 17" above the knee, and 36" around the hips. hope this helps.
