Ugh almost fuckin blew my lid after my squat today. Did a weight PR for 2 x 5, 1 x 8, never even squatted this weight for a single. Powerlifting workout buddy said my back and depth looked very good. Then had the gym owner and a hack of a chiropractor tell me I'm going to hurt my back squatting "like that" (low bar). And that I need to squat "like this" (high bar) and stay more upright. Gym owner has told me this like 4x before and doesn't know what a low bar squat is (somehow yet this blows my mind), I usually just go
. But after being so happy about my PR then have these two guys shit on my parade I felt like telling him to never give me advice on squat again. But alas I just sat there. I mean I've been powerlifting for under a year and I'm out squatting every bodybuilder in there and people who have been there 20+ years, so that should speak for itself. Also my back feels fucking fantastic. livejournal rant sorry.
