At what point should I start cutting? Initially I told myself it would be either when I get to 210, or February so I could look good again in time for shirtless season; whichever came first.

Now i've got mixed feelings, finally beginning to notice a bit more fat than i'd like accumulate around my midsection, and all my lifts are pretty solid except for Squat, and that's not for lack of trying. OHP = 120, Bench = 225, Deadlift = 315.

I had the notion that this would be the only bulk I ever do, as per the mantra "bulk once, cut once" afterwards either eat at a slight surplus if I want to gain, or simply maintain.

I'm not even sure i'd be satisfied with how I looked once I cut now... I think I should suck it up and keep bulking till manly weight as TK calls it, and at least break 200. At 190, 5'10.5 currently, probably like 18%BF.

this; embrace the fat until you hit your goal. youre still at a pretty respectable bf% for being on a strong bulk. just deal with being a fatty for another 6mo and you'll be glad you did come next year - if you cut now, once you hit ~175 you'd be thinking "shit i am dyel, id better bulk again." cue the endless cycle of flip-flopping between bulk/cut forever...

Did incline db chest flys yesterday, massive chest DOMS today. Went fairly heavy with very slow eccentrics, felt amazing. Will start doing after bench. Because of my gym situation for the next 2 weeks i'm having to get imaginative with my movements. Might do high as fuck rep step ups today for quads.

How badly will a DUI effect job prospects? Not me, but a friend got one yesterday.

Depends on the job, but it can be overcome.

MarkI are those 1RMs... If so I would start cutting once you add like 100-150lbs to each of those lifts. Its gonna be a while

Being in a caloric surplus is def the shit for lifts, you will be there in no time. I have made more gains in the last 3 months than I have in the last 3 years just from eating and getting actual non NYC sleep. I am just a little ahead of you, 5 10 and 200lb, prob a little fluffier

Second week of getting back into some heavier weights.. felt good.

Next week shouldn't be too difficult.. aiming for 2x5's with 490-495 squat, 320-325 bench, and 515 deadlift (this would be a PR).

But the following week is where I start attacking some weights for sets of 5 I've never done.. 515 squat, 335 bench, 525 deadlift.

All those are awesome. I don't get the hook grip for deadlifts, I really want to do it because I can not over/under hand. I've tried the hook grip that I used on olympic lifting and it felt like my thumb was getting ripped off and I was only at like 260lbs. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I need to learn because eventually I'm not going to be able to double overhand everything.

Thumb feeling like it's going to ripped, break, and dislocated in conjunction with searing pain? Sounds about right in the beginning.

You need to kill the nerve endings in your thumb by doing hook grip static holds.

Ah gotcha. I'll do that. I hate nerves. I had this when I olympic lifted, thumb nail grew in differently for about two years after i quit lifting.
