Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 2203

Hindsight is 20/20, V. I definitely did my fair share of fucking up. Took some bad experiences to wisen up, but such is life.

And holy shit, had a complete break through with squats today. That week off just doing stretches and mobility work really did a good job. Loaded up 165 after warming up for my working sets, it seemed TOO easy. So I upped it to 175, also easy. Ended up doing. 5x5x185, which was my previous max.

Soooo despite what Eason said; since I got all giddy I figured I'd see if I can break 200. Loaded up 205 and.. You can see the results below. Got it up once then had to bail. Still feeling pretty good though... Can't embed on phone http://youtu.be/URt_DsXhtdY maybe V can do it for me like he always does haha

Waking up early in the morning has never really worked for me, can sustain it for about a week but inevitably take a nap and screw up everything when I can't fall back asleep.
Sounds like the perfect time for shorts. Wear jeans every day now because it's too hot to go outside anyways.

Lol I know this feel had like 30% attendance for class and like 1.5% attendance for lectures or something like that. Calculated I was spending like a few hundred dollars per hour. To be fair as long as you have a textbook there's no point going to any of that shit. So much time for lifting and recovery, but I've still barely lifted this summer.

these are awesome, too bad by the time they're delivered its the middle of winter. still might go for a couple though.

Wish I could get myself to wake up early enough to do this shit. Whenever I try lifting in the morning (or doing anything) I just end up not doing it, haha.

I did this but still did poorly in class. As long as your grades aren't suffering then go for it, but you're only in school once, you'll never be able to change your GPA after you graduate, so make sure it's high!

Probably going to that gym I talked about earlier when I'm in NY. Fucking $30 for a one time use, such bullshit. My company won't even pay for it. Gonna hit the restaurants hard to make them wish they did.

Fucking SPBR, man. So fun. My big 3 are going up pretty steadily, I'm excited to blow through BW on bench and 1.5BW on deadlift. Don't wanna plate up too fast, though, trying to maintain proper form.

The advantages of having a cage in your garage.

I was about to pull the trigger until I saw the $30 shipping premium to Canada, makes them less of a good deal when they look pretty close to these which are at winners regularly >$20.

Which Winners?

Also, why couldn't they have included a rear pocket on those shorts?

I just picked up a new pair at Conestoga mall in the summer clearance section for $18, and I'm pretty certain I've seen them at the Marshall's in Waterloo as well.

Cheers - I haven't made it into a Marshalls as of yet but will have to check it out.

I wrote an exam yesterday so hadn't been lifting for 5 days. Didn't eat a lot and kept carbs low as I didn't want to carb-crash while studying. Went to the gym today, weighted myself and it turned out I am down 4 lbs frown.gif Most def only waterweight but it also means I've not gained as much muscle as I thought since coming out of the cut. Gonna add even more food, ha

WHO ARE YOU PPL WHO LOSE WEIGHT SO EASILY?

I have a personal trainer buddy who claims he can easily be down 4 lbs by the end of the day if he doesn't keep his caloric intake high.

Well, it's not always nice. Having stomach cramps from my post workout meal right now. Have to split up my food over more meals. Over two pounds of potatoes in one sitting can't be good for you in the long term

4.0 master race

In NY tomorrow, gonna go to marshalls and buy loads of underarmour from random american universities so I can blend in with all the american brahs when I get back. Maybe ill buy some really bright nikes, which way like an ounce. Also how can I get to Greenwich Connecticut? Is there a bus I can take or something? Fat jewish brah who used to go to uni with me wants to lift.

GPA doesn't even matter though. You just need it to be sufficiently high so you get past hiring screens to get the interview, anything more doesn't really matter. And once you graduate and get a job, it matters even less. There were only a very few classes I actually cracked open the textbook for besides getting problems from the end of the chapter.

Train.  Grand Central -> Metro North to Greenwich.  40 minutes $8 each way.
