Thanks for the response everyone. I still feel my upper body is lacking badly and I'm probably gonna focus on that through this SS phase. I enjoyed the last set in 5-3-1 where you'd max out on reps and go til failure. So I think I'm going to incorporate that into SS for the upper body lifts.

That's in Greyskull LP. You should check it out.

Keep pushing the lower body. It's better to have that a bit ahead than upper body.

I wonder if it's bad for you to wear these nike compression shorts all day every day, changing the pair of course.

There is a nerve problem or some issue which can result from wearing tight clothing on your legs, however compression items probably have enough yield to them that they are safe. However, your nuts are intended to hang free and be kept cooler than body temp. Tight undies kill sperm and may promote oncogenesis. I am largely regurgitating, so don't quote me, but things to Google.

RHET bros: are certain body types more suited to certain deadlifts?

I'm 5'6"ish and have been doing standard deadlift for the last 6-8 months. Problem I'm having is that as I increase the weight, I'm having trouble keeping my back from rounding.

Just wondering if I should be switching to sumo...

Thoughts?

Short legs, long arms and torso if I'm not mistaken

As the leg to arm length ratio approaches zero the lift becomes a.... rack pull. Obv nobody is built like a gorilla for real but that is the end effect.

As far as your back rounding it could be a lot of things, but if it's a muscle deficiency it is weak erectors. I am pretty sure some legit strong folks round their backs on DLs... it is what it is. Try and keep the bar as close to in line over your feet as possible to minimize the moment arm, and maybe do some erector accessory work.
