Hit a 1020 total at 180 lbs lol, that was my goal 6 months ago before my hip injury but now it doesn't feel like anything :/

After squats yesterday I found one of those triangle-frame cable attachments lying on the ground, I put it down so one of the grips was facing upward, then I balanced my body on it so my injured muscle fascia was being pushed into it with all of my body weight. Lay there and rocked back and forth for like 5 minutes, it hurt so fucking good. Afterwards I felt I was walking on air.

I think my front squat is pretty good. I learned not too long ago and it was just something that clicked for me. I was originally doing the "choke" method and moved onto the clean grip with like 2 fingers under the bar on each side and the bar resting in that groove on your shoulders.

The number one tip I received that made the grip/form click for me was "elbows up and push your boobs together". After that it's ultra comfortable and I felt really good. Then again the highest I got in front squat was a 285 1RM from what I remember. I haven't tried to PR since so my advice might be meh haha.

Clean grip does not let you do this. It forces you to keep your shoulders up and your back tight. It also stops hurting after a couple of weeks.

Aside from that, I'm miring how upright you're able to stay. You have much better ankle and hip mobility than me.

Yea, I see that rounding now. Thanks for pointing it out.

The problem is, I can't even get into a proper clean grip lol. Arms be too juicy :\

I have a hard time believing someone with the stones and drive to squat a ton doesn't have the character to say "you know what, I juiced" if someone asked them about it, especially in a sport where attitude and mindset count for more than anything else.

The advantage of being an onlooker is that I haven't drank the kool-aid when it comes to cut-and-dry concepts like "fraudulent misrepresentation." I just don't think you've understood how I'm pointing out that PED use and the concept of "cheating" are not mutually exclusive. I'm pretty sure people can juice, put up a world record total and say "you're goddamn right I'm cycling," and I'd be okay with it.

Either way, strong dismissive cop-out bro.

Haha if use ever becomes legal, more people will be open to saying it. From my experience, powerlifters have told me IF I ask (which was very rarely until I realized it's none of my business).

But until then, much like other crimes, you ain't going to people openly admit it.

So go ahead and wave your flag that says "STEROIDS ARE FOR CHEATERS"

I guarantee you no one is losing sleep over what YOU think smile.gif

Can you get into a clean grip with just 2 or 3 fingers?

Different drugs have different effects; not all effects are equal. It's ridiculous to think that popping some advil for your knee is even in the same league as something that increases strength and LBM gains by allowing for increased training frequency and intensity. This is a giant stretch and is a poor way of justifying PED use.

I

this, alcohol causes way worse feels

I pretty much agree with charly except for in stuff like bodybuilding and in modern powerlifting. If you have the option to compete in an untested fed and you want to use gear why you no just compete in the untested fed? When kirk and that guy everyone loves who got banned from the IPF for deca were competing I think pretty much the only big recognised fed was the iPF, but now that we have loads of feds that don't test I don't see why they don't just lift in those. Same with bodybuilding, instead of trying to win a natural show whilst being on gear just go compete in the untested fed. With cycling though there is no untested fed and you're going to hop on the juicy juice no matter what so I think its fine.

Miring transformation Mark, even your facial aesthetics improved.

Charly, you could put some straps on the bar and hold those in the clean grip, I think a lot of people who don't have the mobility to do the clean grip properly do that.

.

I'd dish out some sarcastic reply about how I'm crushed over how nobody cares what I think, but I don't think I need to resort to condescension or insults to somehow validate my point.

Yeah it's not like doctors would ever prescribe something as harmful as steroids or HGH

Sometimes I worry about going out because I am free it will preclude me from eating enough. There just isn't enough time.

probably power work in the morning and classic lifts in the evening. or do both classic lifts at both times with different loadings.

you have to remember that I'm a weightlifter so I basically give approximately zero fucks about training body parts and stuff like this.

I hook grip my grocery bags nowadays because gripping that way is just automatic.

just a couple of fingers under the bar will suffice, you don't really need to have your entire hand up in there. cant do that? try thumbs under the bar so your hands are basically straddling your face when you push the elbows up. cant do that? fix straps to the bar at about shoulder width, put the bar in the groove on your shoulders and grab onto the straps.
