Another installment of "Story Time with Charly Joung"

About two hours ago, I arrive at my gym.. Friday afternoon, so it's pretty empty.

I get to the only power cage in the whole gym and this guy is doing shrugs in it. He didn't pick the platform with blocks or anyyyyy of the other racks in the gym to do this in. But whatever..

So I ask him how many sets he has left. He tells me "four."

Now I don't know why this 150 pound twat needs to be going 4+ sets of shrugs.. But hey, I'm in a great mood and I'm not in a rush, so I said "no problem, I'll wait."

I didn't notice but this guy is super setting side raises and with his shrugs.

Now I watch this guy do these sloppy ass side raises, doing one side at a time with weight he shouldn't be using. One hand on the cage, one hand just swinging furiously.

He goes, 50lbs both sides.. then takes a 1 minute break.. then 40lbs both sides.. then takes a 1 minute break.. then 30lbs both sides.. then takes a 3-5 minute break then does his shrugs with 365lbs.

I don't think this guy knows what the fuck supersets are supposed to accomplish but I keep my mouth shut.

20 minutes go by and this whole time I've kept my cool watching Ronnie Coleman do his trap/delt routine.

After his last set, I asked him.. "done, now?"

He says "yea.."

He proceeds to gather his belongings. While he's doing so, I say to myself, "I'll help him unrack his weights."

So I strip two 45's and the 25 from the other side, and then stand there.

He picks up his bag and walks away..

I'm surprised that this dickhole just left 3 dumbbells just lying around next to the power cage and didn't bother to rack his weights on the barbell, so I ask him "hey, you going to your weights?"

He looks at me.. looks at the weights.. and then whilst flicking his lifting glove-covered hand attached to his limp wrist, he says "nah, you got that."

I'm in disbelief.. maybe this asshole didn't hear me, so I raise my voice a bit "YO, you going to rack your fucking weights?"

He says "nah" and just starts walking away.

And this is the story of the first time I shouted this so that he and the whole gym heard me loud and clear..

"THEN GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE YOU FUCKING PUSSY ASS BITCH."

I regret not pulling a Captain Kirk and throwing a 45 at his head.


TL:DR - dude doesn't rack his dumbbells and weights. I ask if he wants to rack his weights. He says no. I pronounce to him and the gym that he is a "fucking pussy ass bitch."

I use 10 lb as a leverage when on the DL bar

^ I'll be honest I used the pad for a long time before realizing it was completely unnecessary and actually threw off the balance of the weights. On top of that my form was shit so I had no idea where the bar should be resting on high bar squat.

Try it a few times without and you'll never go back and also wonder , "WTF was I thinking?"
