Will my lower back never be 100%? I do lower back exercises often so I don't think strength is the problem

First soft tissue and mobbing session in like 2 weeks, that hurt so bad haha.

I'm quitting 5/3/1 tomorrow. Going to try something else for a little bit, if it doesn't work I'll go back to 5/3/1 because it's a damn good program.

So it looks like years of baseball have finally caught up with me, I was diagnosed with shoulder impingement. I haven't really had any pain while lifting (pressing & bench) which is good but I'm hoping I can stick with my program. I'll be starting physical therapy next week but was wondering if you guys had any other tips/tricks to speed recovery. Any info would be appreciated.

Should we start a RHET brah chronic injury moping thread?

I sympathize with all the people who have had injuries, it truly sucks, but it's the risk we all take, and once you are injured, that part is never the same again.

Split squats give the worst glute doms. I did them on thursday and I can still feel it. Today is lower body again with sumos and good mornings, but thankfully its deload week.

super jacked up about my lifting platform. got 3x 3/4" 4x8 plywood sheets, gonna screw them and glue them and then get my rack bolted down. i got another 4x6 stall mat, so im going to pair them side-by-side height-wise, then chop up one board so i end up with 2 sheets of ply for an 6x8 surface area and use the leftover wood for risers or something. having 6x8 of solid rubber flooring is like a unbelievably dreamy amount of space for me.

also found out a really easy way to get veggies in: pasta sauce. i blended a bag of spinach into a jar of sauce and i could hardly taste it, but the sauce itself turned a pretty unappetizing green lol. i love eating veggies, but prep is a pain in the ass, so being able to blend it in is great. im thinking cauliflower will be another easy way to get veggies in. can't believe i never thought about pasta as bulking food, stupidly calorie dense and easy to eat.

split squats are the only movement where i think "shit, its this time of the week again." i think i keep them in because they suck so hard though... usually a good indicator of having to bang away at them.

First day in the gym after my operation 2 weeks ago.

Did:

3 x 10 Low Incline DB Press @ 20kg
3 x 10 DB Fly @ 10 kg
3 x 20 DB Row @ 20kg
2 x 10 Lat Pulldowns
2 x 13 DB Pinwheels @ 10kg
3 x 10 BW Chest Dips

I wanted to do 3 x 10 bw pullups but the DB rows killed my lats

basically i feel like this.

Yea injuries suck and if you want to lift again 100% you don't go and see a general public or even some "sport" PT. They will tell you to not go to the gym but that's the complete opposite you should do, when you injure yourself it's all about movement movement movement to prevent it from scaring and being fucked up forever.

I saw this video a long time ago and though it was interesting..

I didn't really think about it again until this guy who had won multiple world strongman competition tore his quad. In Two days he was in the gym and I was like wtf what are you doing. A week later he was squatting with heavy wraps around his injury. Now three months later he finished sheiko on squat progression and now is fine.
