sold my junk weider bench for 100. next is making sure kijiji buyer follows through on 500 for smith machine. if that happens, i'll have made $300 from re-selling the gear and will have gotten 400lbs plate + assorted bars, handles, belt, and cable attachments for free. nod[1].gif

maybe i'll be able to flip my rack + ghetto cable stack for ~150 and put that 450 into a decent-ish rack... i think that's a shitty price point though, too low for something bomb-proof and too high for overpriced chinese shit.

Do you have the equipment to drill extra holes into your current rack? Then you could pick up more equipment to fill out that basement. Or 450 should be decent used rack. Won't go far new though, that's true.

There's an IM2000 (Ironmaster smith machine) on local CL for 400 obo... it has a plate load style lat pulldown/low row in addition to it's primary smith functionality. Tempting, and seems like could do well on resale down the road if I wanted too.

i dont need more holes in my rack, im just concerned with its structural soundness... it already creaks and wobbles pretty badly even though its fixed to the ground whenever i rack anything over 185 on it. i already drilled it to bolt down my cable stack... im more just concerned with its general ability to hold up. some of the joints don't look great.

i wouldnt jump on it unless you really wanted a smith and/or had the space to use it as a pulldown. its been a huge pain in the ass trying to unload mine, even though im coming out way ahead. chances are if someone says "im extremely interested" you'll never hear from them again. i actually had one guy use two email addresses posing as two separate people to try and talk me down, only to out himself when he emailed me as his alias from his first email address. oops.

Pretty sure smith machine functionality requires more space than the pull down part. I am quickly running out of space if I keep picking up stuff I don't need. At least in that room. There are others devil.gif

VLSI are you getting cut? cuz I'm failing miserably. I think my goal is less so to get cut then it is to document every thing i eat on myfitnesspal. then we'll go from there

Cut? No not yet. Pretty sure I'm making progress just based on mirror, haven't taken progress pics in a while. I had a couple good weeks, followed by a couple bad weeks (not horrible, but not going to lose weight), and currently back on track. Tracking weight can be problematic... I think I need to start tracking my fiber too shog[1].gif

fiber is probably too much. i'm at the same weight, but i think i gained lean mass. people keep telling me i look bigger and my lifts are going up. i'm eating at most maintenance tho.

Just had an Iguana burrito here in Santa Clara and after finishing felt pretty satisfied, but had an urge to fit in a bowl of frosted flakes with bananas. Feel full now/bloated a little. Oha well. The Niners stadium looked amazing btw, this area is going to be jamming.

For the dudes cutting, what weight you cutting from? 170? 180? I am pretty happy at my new weight of 160 with good gains in str but minimal aesthetics. I think I maybe going for the Ripptoe look lul. From my experience though I think you dudes who cutting at under 200 maybe losing an advantage once you drop down to around my weight. I personally can't imagine dropping back to 150 lb. if anything I would try very hard to do a body recomp while maintaining at 160 +/- (I don't know if that is possible unless I cut from 170)
