Crossfit's mantra - "Let's take a couple exercises that are highly technical and could be potentially dangerous if done incorrectly and do them as fast as fucking possible"

It's on my right side, right above my glute, but right below my belly button. On my back obviously, not front side. Pain is radiating down to leg and feels sharper when I walk, rather dull when stationary.

Wtf have I done?

Could be one of many things.

Could just be a minor strain. Could be a pinched pinched sciatic nerve. Could be that your SI joint is out of place. Could be a slipped disc. Could be something else.

Take some ibuprofen for the next few days and use a heat pad on the area a few times a day. If it doesn't start to improve, I suggest a doctor and/or a chiropractor visit.

Will do charly, if I still feel off by Monday ill go to the doctor.

Is it still ok to go to the gym if I'm not working that area, for example tmrw is chest day

Yes, but I haven't really pushed myself squatting wise. I'm sure I can do more, but I was more focused on mobility before going up in weight. Not only that, but I'm a pussy when it comes to squatting/dead lifts.

After doing a bit of research definitely seems like pinched sciatic nerve, ugh. What could have caused this?

Piriformis could be touching the sciatic nerve. Other option is disc in lower back is bulging/herniated. You wouldn't feel it in your back... just the shooting pain down one of your legs.

For something like an SI joint that needs to be adjusted, a chiropractor can do wonders. Fixed me up in one session.

Like a doctor, you need to make sure your chiropractor knows what he's doing. Needless to say, I've had shitty experiences with chiropractors and also doctors.

I'd take it easy. If you're going to do things without leg drive or any arch in your back, go for it but I'd just wait it out if I were you. A few days off from the gym ain't going to kill you. Especially if you aren't working up to a competition or anything.

Because no one ever gets hurt moving slowly.
