Hit 8 x 225 on bench last night, new rep PR. Had a dude spot me who was lean but highly jacked. He told me that I should be doing something called a "J Hook" on my bench "Arnold used to do it" and while I wouldn't be able to press a much, it would develop my chest more. Any idea what he is talking about?

It had to do with the bar path on a bench press. I think the idea is to make a J with the bar instead of going straight up and down. I really need someone who knows what they are doing to critique my form.

Yes, it sounded like broscience but figured I would ask. I am still not sure my bar path is particularly good.

Elbow sleeves have helped tremendously with my tennis elbow. Still get pain doing menial shit around the house but can lift no problem. Probably not a long term solution though.

I actually did the same thing... accidentally fell asleep at like 6:30, woke up at 1am, and just now got back from the gym.

Switched up my grip from over-under (not sure why I ever used that just starting out anyways) to double overhand and was having big grip issues today. Dat forearm pump though. Felt like I needed straps for 35lb dumbbells by the end of my workout shog[1].gif

What field? Highly recommend waterloo, we've been here a year (came down from Ottawa/gatineau) and the city is great, lots going on and close enough to toronto that you can get away for a day or commute if you have to. Kitchener is kind of a dump but it's getting better (slowly).

We actually stayed in London for a few months while we were looking for a place down here, nice city but so isolated from anywhere else and overrun with students in pajama pants at all hours of the day.

Good crowd Saturday morning

I pulled 5 4 4 @ 275
First was easy last 2 I had to step away and reset to get the 4th rep. Third set my last rep form was pretty bad I think more back than legs. Last week I pulled same weight for 5 4 3

At in n out getting some food then more congee at home

I been meaning to post vid but the gym says no? Should I break the rules?? redface.gif

HR but i am not sure i want to stick with the field. i've been looking into a few sales positions lately and might go back to school again. i havent been around waterloo much, but i've done some deliveries and other business in kitchener and i didn't really like what i saw, lol. i spent a summer in ottawa doing ceremonial guard and i loved the city, so if you're coming from there and enjoying waterloo then that's a good sign. i should look a little more into the k-dub area, but i assumed when RIM started tanking then things would be on a bit of a downward spiral around there. whats your business there?

i kinda like london, i used to really hate it growing up here and going to western then fanshawe but after working in hamilton and leamington i've come to appreciate it a hell of a lot more. its pretty boring and white and there is literally nothing to do unless you're one of those pajama-clad students (lol western). there's a brutal unemployment rate - i got laid off a few months back - and our mayor is one rcmp investigation away from being an actual criminal, but otherwise its not too bad. i like being 2 hours from everything, but im getting worried that i'll end up getting rooted here with my gf's small business. its a decent city and everything, but getting stuck here... frown.gif

Getting spoiled on base. Eating good and went to baller army gym. All kinds of juicy bench bros in there. A few dudes were moving some serious weight. Empty squat racks though, lol. On Monday at 230am gotta report back for field training at the FOB and then it's back to atrophy. Gonna try and pack away some whey or something in my duffel bag and see if I can get away with it.
