I'm having a really hard time balancing out recovery, training economy and diet. I never had to worry about this stuff before but now that my weights are heavier if I go for 9+ on my 5+ 5/3/1 day in deadlifts it will affect how much I can get out of my squats on Friday. I guess the answer is to eat more, start adding carbs on off days and when it gets too much only press one lift a week like 5/3/1 for powerlifting suggests.
I've been thinking of seriously dropping the poundage and doing very high rep close stance front squats with three second negatives. My patella has been tender and warm to the touch as I seriously started pushing my 1rm and I am hoping I can keep gains going while giving my ligaments and tendons a bit of a rest.

Maybe go for triples instead

Maybe I could scale back starting with triples. i definitely have something weird going on. Both of my quads (the outer sweep portion) have been numb for a while and now my left patella is tender. I noticed that i tend to put most of my weight on my left leg while at work so maybe it is an over use inflammation situation.

I had pain and tenderness around that area too a few weeks ago, especially during the squat. Didn't want to fuck around with it so I immediately went and got an ART session and Russian EMS on it. Went away after a session thankffully.

Made a week's worth of super healthy chicken curry for lunch all week (basically chicken, veggies, curry powder, Truvia, milk, corn starch). Also picked up fixings for tacos and burgers so I'm actually planning on not letting any food in my fridge go bad for once. This could be a new precedent for me.

Went 1-3 this weekend at vball, fucking teammates got too drunk. Still fun, though.

Hoping the gym doesn't give me killer DOMS like it did last week. I couldn't even go on Friday because it was so bad. The price you pay for taking a couple weeks off.

Some of you should give microlactin a try - one of the best supplements I've ever used. I had my mom try it because she has arthritis and other joint issues and she noticed a big difference.

i have to echo TK's earlier post about dem calorie surplus feels. i didnt realize how shitty being in a long-term calorie deficit felt, and now am currently enjoying feeling like a normal human being again.

also, i jacked up my volume and added an arm day for kicks. feels guilty man, i think im breaking some kind of rule. fun though

have a date cooking for a vegetarian tonight. Gonna make some seitan for her so i can justify making myself some chicken.

Also, knowing how to cook seitan is a good skill given the type of women I attract.

Anyone here ever order their eggs/milk/meat directly from the farm? Might just be where I live to have this luxury. Gonna try it out this week probably. Prices are pretty steep but I guess that's the price you pay (lol) for buying local, grass fed type shit.
