So I'm starting a new program and it's asking for a "Flat Bench Press (super arch/retract)" and wondering just how arched I should be. If there's a video or picture, that would help. I found this video;

Also, what is the purpose of having a super arched back when benching? Isn't it like doing a decline press?

Do the highest arch your t spine will allow. It shortens the bar path and puts your scapula in a healthier and more stable position. It also uses more back and triceps than chest than a normal bodybuilding bench.

Personally some but not excessive arch, would be ideal for most.

Day 3 I have no idea if I'm gonna do a second week of this shit. I guess it doesn't help that I've been constantly hungry the past two days because I'm not eating enough because I've just had trouble getting enough protein/broccoli down. Probably taking in way less calories than I should be. This combined with the EC is a slayer of fat, though. I'm probably losing muscle because of how little I've been eating but I'm really not concerned about it for just one or two weeks.

175 this morning, so 13 lbs down. Once I hit 168 I'm gonna factor the Yohimbine back in in the mornings and do some morning cardio before work.

Brahs, want to suggest some good lower back exercises other than hyper extensions and good mornings? I feel like its one of my particularly weak areas.

are you sure it's a weak point? your lower back probably can handle whatever weight you're currently using because you were deadlifting wrong for a while and so it's already pretty strong.

i say stick with SL and you'll start to feel it as the weight goes up.

What are your lifts at?

I don't know if weak is the proper term, but it always feels the most sore out of anything, and generally... Yeah week.

Squat 165, bench 160, deadlift 255

Sometimes I wonder how much my random junk food eating fucks up my physique. I'm probably 90% or more strict on my diet but every once in awhile I need that double cheeseburger plain with a small coke. I don't even want to be cut like crazy anyways, so I don't know why I stress about these things.

I know that feel bro. One of those thin 25lb bumper plates right to the nuts. Laid on the ground for a little bit. Cried. Then did some chin ups. Then cried some more.
