Yes to all of that haha especially that last part.. some guy held his horn at me yesterday for a full ten seconds.. I got out of my car and started walking toward his car.. horn magically stopped working.

I've got some little bacne going on. Dr. TKJTG, prescribe me something.

Unfortunately all the other acne options suck. Most of the over-the-counter crap doesn't work too well.

Your choices are topical or oral antibiotics or retinoids. Both require prescriptions. frown.gif

Damn it.. tanning it is..

Do you just lay out in the sun or whatever?

Or do you use a tanning bed? If so, how many times do I need to go? And how much? I'll be honest in that I don't want to look really tan.. not a fan of the look. Slight color is fine. More for the bacne.

From a health standpoint it's probably better to lay out in the sun than use a tanning bed. Dermatologists are still generally very anti-tanning bed since it theoretically increases skin cancer risk(though there's little evidence to back that up in non-predisposed subjects). They also say there's no real great studies showing that tanning actually improves acne, though anecdotally people say it does.

Sun exposure is one of those super controversial topics in health care that no one has really been able to figure out.

may or may not cause skin cancer in non-predisposed individuals
lowers blood pressure
improves vit D and bone density
causes wrinkles
subjectively improves acne and skin appearance

I've been bed tanning for the past week. Go every other day, start small (I started at 7 minutes I think) and work your way up a minute at a time until you're a color you want and then back off to weekly. Put sunscreen on your face so you don't end up like jarude.

I'm trying pantothenic acid to decrease my acne, btw. It's not terrible but I get some on my back/arms. Will let you know in a few weeks how it goes. Right now taking 9g daily.
