Ahhh freshman stories. I puked all over my roommate's bed and passed out naked on it. We knew the puke was mine because we went to Qdoba the night before and his burrito didn't have beans on it.

At a house party I passed out in the backyard, it poured buckets all night. I needed two people to pull me out in the morning as I was sunk like half a foot in the mud. Could thing I wasnt face down, lawl

Told my girlfriend I'd give her $100 if she sticks to P90X for two months, including the diet. This should be fun.

I'm just saying but NYC and LA are both dumps. I can't wait to get home when I ever visit there for work.

She decided to get P90X so I just bet her she couldn't stick to it because she always gives up after about a month, even if she's seeing progress.

Haha KC what could possibly go wrong... I'm guessing you keep the 100. I gave my gf the simplest possible diet outline and she said it didn't work for her as she followed it all of 3 days. Her sister then blew 100$ on a detox kit which was a weeks work of low fat high carb maltodextrin shakes. Did the detox week, lost 3lbs, went back to regular habits the next week...

Bishes be cray cray, they're both mirin on my cut progress and want to know the deal but I'm afraid if I explain using real talk terms I'll get slapped lol.

I finally got her to just count calories, she lost 6 lbs in like a month which is pretty damn good progress, then just stopped for no reason and I'm pretty sure she's gained it all back. Whenever I make fun of her attempts at cutting she always talks shit to me for "that crazy chicken and broccoli diet you did" (when I was on PSMF) as if it invalidates what I'm saying. She was looking at that stupid Shakeology bullshit a week or two ago so compared to that P90X is a big step up. I keep telling her it's just about calories and to count calories but she just doesn't because she sucks.

I have a lot of friends who work out regularly but they're all completely clueless and don't see any progress at all.

Sometimes they ask me how I do my stuff and keep fit, to which I used to respond with long and detailed answers. They'd never argue with any of what I said, as they knew I got better results than them and that they know jack shit about fitness and nutrition. Still, they'd not be willing to change any of their own habits. That just blows my mind.

Nowadays, I'm so fed up with people I just tell them it's all about calories in calories out and that lifting heavy weights is superior to endless hours of cardio in many ways.

A hugely frustrating example at a dinner a while ago:

This girl was complaining she was gaining weight although she plays soccer 4x a week. I politely told her it has to do with what she eats since it obviously hasn't got anything to do with not being active. She told me "it was her cursed genetics" and that she eats "healthy food all the time". Then the desserts come in (cheese with crackers and ice cream) and guess who loads up the biggest portion of all the people there lol8[1].gif facepalm.gif

KC, sorry man, but I dated someone like that many years ago. You're fighting a losing battle until she wants these changes badly enough to accept that there's not really a shortcut or quick fix to get there. Frankly, it sounds like you're putting in more effort than she is, which is a recipe for disaster. Even if she sees some results, they won't be lasting, because it doesn't sound like the passion is there. You can be a source of support, but good luck not feeling flustered a lot if you need to constantly be on her case or bribing her to drop pounds or eat better.

I don't know why it never registered with me, but god damn, there's a lot of sodium in those low-carb Monsters. 360mg a can; I generally have two a day. I knew this before, but only recently did it click with me how crazy that is for a beverage. Now, it's like that's almost all I can taste when I drink one. facepalm.gif
