I think I'm burned out and need a break / proper deload.

Been cutting for 10 weeks while being able to maintain or increase the weights, without any deloads.

 

I slept 10 hours this night and still felt like shit. Sucked it up and went to the gym anyway. It was Deadlift day and I couldn't get one rep for a weight I managed 6 reps last week. Had to back off all lifts to 80% and that was still pretty tough.

 

I'm gonna end this cut on tuesday with some beastly eating. Thinking about taking the rest of the week off while upping the calories so I'm getting around maintenance and then the week after start the bulk by adding more.

 

My question is:

I really like the layout of Leangains by not eating any starch & keeping carbs low on rest days. Since I will be taking a full week off for rest, would it be ok to continue eat that way as long as I get around maintenance calories? I'm thinking maybe it isn't ideal for recovery or is low / high carb irrelevant as soon as I get enough food?

I had a sickening vomit and nearly fainting in the gym today. Missed a warmup set with 100kg front squat on the 2nd rep and had to ditch the bar, lolz were had guy working at the gym was perplexed.

I love how getting haircuts make you somehow look bigger and feel so aesthetic. I have a legit severe jugend undercut now... Dat unintentional feel when you high cuff your jawns with boots and a tee and people think you're a skinhead. frown.gif

Yeah...wasn't a fan. The 3 leads were great, but the directing was horrible(Michael Bay).

Yeah, thought it was pretty meh. Mark wahlburg doing sit-ups off the side of the building was pretty awesome tho.
