just scored one of those york home multigym thingies for free on kijiji. i dont care for the fly portion or the seat, so i'm thinking of cannibalizing the cable stack for a lat pulldown/tricep station and maybe see if i can make a high/low cable setup out of it. will probably use the arms/handles for some kind of t-bar row if i can.

i wish there was an ikea hackers for gym equipment... surely i can come up with something good here

Had a new 1 rep max today in deadlift, ended up getting 5. Now taking giant car polisher to my hips cause they be tight after that.

Having some pain on the inside of my hips near my glute. Need to get a baseball and roll on it. Going to try high bar atg squats today, being asian I have dat der mobility so they should be fine. Expecting to use 100ish kg.


edit: went surprisingly well, worked up to 120kg for a double in a belt then did like 20 sets of 2 with 100kg no belt and a pause to work on technique. Could probably get 120ish without a belt and maybe 140 with one now. Sets got easier as I did more. Ended up doing 5x100kg with a 3 second pause at the bottom of each rep. Dat feel when your glutes hit your ankles, feels good man.

N00b gains are the greatest. Been deadlifting for three weeks after a long hiatus due to hip surgery. All my pants are noticeably tighter in the thigh.
