Doing push ups and body weight dips with heavy wraps on is so much fun. Like your triceps are a trampoline,

I just had my T and thyroid run. Doc's office called back and said my numbers were "normal"... which could very well mean normal for an 80yr old man. I could go back and get my numbers in person, but regardless, they aren't going to hook me up with anything.

Why is everyone in this threak so concerned with their hormone levels? wtf

I was at the doc's office for something else and asked him to pull my blood while I was there.

With wanting to be in better shape and/or stronger, why wouldn't you be? Testosterone, estrogen, and thyroid function are very important factors in your progress/limits once you've got everything else in order. Hell, even if you aren't trying to better yourself, they are still very important.

The difference between low and normal testosterone can mean the difference between lethargy, depression, and a overall negative outlook on life compared to one full of energy and confidence. Not to mention libido, cardiovascular health, and shit ton of other things.

Because if you have low test you'll make worse gains and you won't feel as good as you could. If I had an actual medical condition, which was making me feel shit why would I not want to correct it?

I don't understand trying to get test from a doctor. If you do get it and they decide to give you oils instead of gel, HcG or nolva, they're going to give you tiny amounts, it will be significantly more expensive then gear would normally cost, a lot of doctors make you come to the hospital to get injections, which probably won't be weekly so you'll have a drop off and if your doctor is actually using test to compensate for low test you would have to stay on for life, which isn't something i'd be willing to do. Go to the office, find out your actual numbers and post them, if they're low and you want to correct it buy some test. Even pharma grade test is cheap, in the UK norma test e is 5.50 an amp and zafa sust 250 is 4.

I understand the importance of normal hormone levels, but people in this thread are freaking out about it at an absurd rate.

Some woman that works out at my gym. It's weird because I've never seen her lift too much but she's consistently jacked out of her mind. The most I've seen her bench in the last 8 months is 185lbs and deadlift 225lbs.

I take blood pressures daily. It's only inaccurate if you have a poor fitting cuff.

We just had like 100 posts on juicing up for the phat gainz and how pharmacies won't sell you the good stuff, or some shit like that. So yeah, people definitely post a little too much about their testosterone. Freaking out in a literal sense of panic and fear, I guess not, but close enough in my book.

Considering this is a thread, which has a pretty heavy focus on powerlifting and bodybuilding over just general health and fitness, testosterone levels and by extension steroid use are massively important factors in achieving your goals in the same way diet and training are. My dad whose like 48 or something got his test levels checked and they were pretty low, inevitably much lower then mine. We've both been lifting for about the same amount of time, he eats way more then me, gets better rest, doesn't go out at all, does standard strength workouts and outweighs me by like 20lb. Lifts are nowhere near mine, deadlift is about 200lb off mine and his squat is like 150lb off mine. He can't recover nearly as fast because he has low as fuck test, but not so low doctors would be willing to give him anything. Increasing his testosterone levels to like 1000ng/dl would do more for his training then anything else.
