Rhet Brosefs, I need advice on a routine for a friend:
-Getting out of Crossfit after 2 years
-Looking to add a little bit of mass but lose some fat. Not much in either department
-Knowledgable on lifts, but I wouldn't call him an expert by any stretch of the imagination.
-Wants to get a little extra focus on his core
I was thinking Starting Strength, just to get him back in the swing of regular gymming. Then I was thinking, that since bulking (on his lifts) isn't his main goal, that SPBR would be better. I definitely don't think he'd like 5/3/1 as he's not really into powerlifting all that much. 5x5? Suggestions?
Anyone else care to chime in?
As someone who 5/6yrs ago used Yohimbine HCL for a 3+ month span along with proper diet, timing (it's best used with a high protein meal) and HIIT, I will say that you are wrong. I was well above 15% body fat at the time and it melted away ton of fat, I was actually kind of freaked out at how fast it worked. I also happened to have some major side effects that forced me to stop, but I will tell you that it will work well for MOST people if you're 10% or bigger. Just use caution when doing so...
Yeah, I realize I might be wrong. All my knowledge of it comes from reading on Leangains.
Did you read that article from Leangains I posted? 0.2mg per kg BW, which would be approx 0.5 mg per lb BW, taken in a fasted state in the morning. Just google it and read threads about it on other forums.
im pretty surprised at all the people who can't/won't/don't like to cook itt. no idea how people can make long term, sustainable progress without relying on tasty things they can prepare themselves. eating dry animal protein
chicken = soak in franks red hot
beef = salt + pepper + random other savoury seasonings (garlic aromat etc)
fish = butter, salt, pepper, lemon, dill
pork = ginger, honey garlic or apple cinnamon~ey flavours. alternatively, salt and pepper
whey = add cool whip
for extra laziness, buy a slow cooker, soak any meat of choice in any marinade of choice, then push butan, receive bacon.
I like to cook, but not every fucking day. I have been doing a primarily liquid diet (~400g a day of a whey isolate + maltodextrin mix) for about a week now to no ill effects. I love food but cooking + deciding 3x a day is a fucking hassle. Plus this mix is cheaper than pretty much any real food would be (~$6-7 a day).
400g a day in whey? are you shitting cheese yet /rippetoe
Completely true. Everyone's body reacted to substances differently.
Yeah, that's the reason I didn't order it. Can't be bothered to shell out over 50 bucks on a drug scale when I already have a normal food scale and I'm too nervous I'd overdose. Found a thread on google when I searched about it about a kid taking 600mg by accident who almost died (or at least really thought he was going to die).
There's no reason you can't have a slice of pizza on a cut if you fit it into your macros. Homemade pizza would be an easy way to do this so you can control the ingredients in a more precise manner.
Funny how that works, I started doing "cardio" and my hams gt so tight after. I also went to Disney with my old coach who has the state record in snatch and clean and jerk in his weight class, and he was bitching the next day about how sore he was.
lol that seems like a horrible idea. No thanks jeff lol
