This mini-cut is surprisingly easy. I suck at counting calories though. The protocol now is basically "don't eat so damn much, make sure to get plenty of protein and don't ********." Getting stoned actually helps curb my appetite, so maybe i'll do that more on my free time/when going out drinking.

No idea if it will even work or not. I'm fitting into my MTM shirts better though.

That's pretty surprising. I quit using regularly and lost like 20 lbs.

It's supposed to work the other way around. :)

Been foam rolling my hips. Feels pretty good in a slightly painful way. Time will tell if it helps with my posture or squatting ability.

it will but remember that foam rolling alone wont do anything long term. need to stretch..

I'm pretty sure I'm going to take out overhead press completely in my 5/3/1 training. Eric Cressey who has been the definitive shoulder health expert has some interesting arguments against the press. I watched his 6 hour seminar DVD and learned a ton of interesting things.

It suppresses my appetite for some reason, or rather, gives me the ability to ignore it and focus on other stuff. I just drink tons of water.

Overhead press increases the risk of impingement, sure. Cressey believes the majority of population cannot do the press safely..

Also, do remember that the majority of people Cressey deals with are baseball players, pitchers...

It's worth reading/listening to others. If you do not have any history of shoulder problems and your shoulders do not bother why, why stop doing them?

Prowler induced bulimia, stacked another 30kg on it today. Only got a 2.5kg PR since like october when I finished smolov. I suppose im 15 or so lb lighter and was just using a belt instead of wraps. Still feels ****. Probably could have gotten a 5kg PR but I had leg and ab DOMS. Speed squats feel so good after a 1rm, can't even feel it on your back.

Dumb, but honest question, when you guys are talking about "raw" vs. "gear" in reference to the videos that knucks posted? I used to think that you were talking about not taking steroids vs. taking steroids, now I'm not so sure. What exactly, in this context, is "gear"?

Gear is equipment other then in most cases a belt that allows you to lift more weight. So stuff like squat suits, briefs, bench shirts, in most feds knee wraps and I think wrist wraps, but im not sure. I don't see anything wrong with it, no shirt is gonna make me be able to bench 1000lb or squat 1200lb and they don't really do all that much for deadlifts because there is no negative. People don't like it because they think its cheating and marsupialed because quite often they squat in a monolift because they can't walk the squat out of a cage because there legs are under a tone of pressure from like wraps and the suit, but still you have people squatting more then my total, no ***** given about how they're doing it.

Been told to start doing ballet warm ups. Anyone ever done them or how they compare to yoga?

Good point. Right now I have a terrible lower trap strain which has caused an impingement in my shoulder then which caused a bunch of other **** in my labrum and pec area for over compensating. Once my overhead press was nearing bodyweight it started to feel really unstable/uncomfortable. Right now I've completely removed overhead press and changed my workout a lot, doing more of a rehab thing right now. Eric Cressey talked a lot about labrum genetics and posted this picture saying that an xray should be given to everyone who is suggested overhead press.

Fun fact: ballet used to be the manliest of dances, because it was based on fencing. So much so that women were excluded from learning it because it might reduce its manliness.
