I cut way, way back on all liquid that isn't water and have dramatically increased my water consumption for the past year to the realization of several benefits.

During my last bulk I noticed I store most of my fat in the lower body, so the difference in bf % might not seem that big between those two pics I posted since legs aren't pictured.
I honestly look more cut in that pic than IRL, due to lightning etc. I'm gonna cut for another month or so since my lifts are still going up, although slow. I really wanna push to low bf this time around since I know I won't cut again soon.
Anyway, what do you consider a smart way to bulk?
I'm gonna continue with the Leangains approach which means upping the calories but still calorie and macro cycle for lifting / rest days. The basic IF bulking template is 3 or 4 split with -10% on rest days with high fats and low carbs (no starch) and +30% on work days (very low fat, lots of starch; basically a carb refeed). It seems like an effective way of getting bigger without putting on fat.
I did big calorie surplus for both days with lots of carbs on my last bulk and it led to more increase in fat than muscle, so not doing that again.
Well in that case... agreed if you're talking about body fat. If you're talking about bodyfat percentage, then I still agree in most cases.
Not in all though. One example I can think of is when an extremely underweight trainee decides to start training and putting on weight. Not all trainees in this case will stay lean and gain weight, but some will. I got lucky.. started out as an extremely underweight 5'11" weighing in at 120. Went up to 170 in the course of ~1.5 years and was still very lean.
But yea, once again, if you're talking about body fat (not bf %), then yea there's no way that's going to happen unless you pin ANDDDDD have a proper diet/training program ANDDDDDDDDDDD be genetically lucky in that your body responds well to whatever type/amt of gear you throw at it since not everyone will react the same way/magnitude to a specific substance.
I think when I do my next cut I will do an EC stack. I am wondering if I have high blood pressure though, it runs in the fam. Before I started doing cardio again I had a few weeks where my diet was stupid salty/fatty (damn Boston Market, no more), and I def had some lite hypertensive episodes. Stopped since I started cooking my own food and doing cardio again. I did just get a shipment of zinc monomethione though
Also making good progress on swimming. I was doing front crawls and breathing last night! Only with the flippers though. Strangely w/o the flippers I am too deep in the water to get a breath. In time
