If you
really wanna do RFL, I found these things make it bearable:
1. Cook all your food at once for the week. Then you don't have an excuse to eat McDonald's because you don't have any chicken prepped.
2. Use those spice packets on your chicken. A lot of them. Throw in some Frank's and/or Sriracha, maybe some onions and jalopenos in there.
3. Drink a lot of coffee and energy drinks. Maybe do EC. Definitely take your fish oil/vitamins daily. Your energy level can plummet before normalizing, if it does normalize. I got used to it and felt great on it, but starting off sucked. Some people don't have their energy levels bounce back like that.
4. Don't do cardio. Waste of time, will make you more tired, and will affect you detrimentally, as Lyle explains.
5. Drinking sucks. You will turn into an extreme light weight and have terrible hangovers. And you will not be able to cure them with bloodies or a disgusting greasy hangover brunch. Eating chicken and broccoli on a hangover is the worst thing ever. However, you will look lean as fuark after a night out at the bar, especially as your stomach is hitting your abs for a five rep set of hurling into the toilet.
6. Drink a ton of water. Do creatine for the duration. This will help maintain your gainz.
7. Commit to it. Run it for the duration. No cheat days, they will fuck you up by reminding you how awesome real food is.
8. Stop talking to your friends. They will just want to go out drinking and/or eating and remind you how awesome real food is.
