Speaking of dieting - do you guys think 2200 calories is sustainable? I'm still fucking around with my diet and decided to pull back the calories a bit from my previous 2400. Wondering if I've gone to far off the deep end.

Daily 2200?
Depends a bit on your bodyweight but I'd say it is. I do 2500 on training days and 1500 on rest days (@78kg) which is slightly less than 2200 a day on a weekly base. Then again I do go out for drinks once or twice a week and dont count those so i end up with a slightly higher intake.
Have you tried carb cycling?
What Jarude says in his previous two posts seems accurate.

I know I've posted about this before, but I finally am on the path to fixing my deadlifts. After analyzing a few recordings of my lifts, I noticed a common trend: I would try to "jerk" the weight off the ground, thus adding that "at the moment of the lift" back rounding (which is a terrible idea). Today, dropped to 50-60% of my usual working sets and really focused on pushing my abs out and sitting back, pushing off my heels, and dragging the weight up my legs. Didn't take vids but it just felt way cleaner compared to what I've done in the past. So going to do a slow progression up and keep focusing on my form.

TL;DR: Actually recording lifts and working through your shit is rewarding.

Went to mall to buy running shoes...holy shit they are expensive and unaesthetic. Would rather cop AE seconds at that price mark. Guess I won't be doing cardio anytime soon.

I know, I was being a smart ass.

I'm pushing 235 (feels bad, man) now. Carb cycling seems interesting, but with my home life, I have a hard enough time as it is staying on a normal diet.

2200 is not unreasonable. My maintenance is about 2300 and that includes all the transfers I have to do for the subway. I had to drop down to 1800 to cut.

remember though, i've got 40-50 pounds on you, and I don't want to lose any of the muscle that i've put on since i've been home. i already feel like i'm deflating a bit.

Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too laugh.gif

I don't follow this tread much so its probably already been posted and discussed but you may also want to look into intermittent fasting.

When cutting if you're losing over 1.5 pounds a week you're doing it too fast. Ideal cut is 1lb/week.
