Not yet. That's my plan in May. 1475 is needed to total elite for 198's raw. Looking from 1500+.

Because it makes the sport a bit more interesting to some people (some may disagree). Either way, it is how it is. Most feds allow a 24-hour weigh in period. Just like most martial arts competitions (like the UFC). It just adds another variable into the whole mix of things. You can choose to cut weight or not and the amount of weight you want to cut. Doing it incorrectly or overdoing might fuck you. Doing it correctly will give you an advantage - that advantage depending on the amount of weight you cut, the amount of weight you gain back and the amount of bloat you can put on comfortably.

Yep. 24 hours most of the time.

Lucky. Most Oly comps give you 1-2 hours between weigh-in and session time. Not enough time to fully digest one meal, let alone several.

so some people are gaining or regaining almost 50lbs in 24 hours? wtf?

If your dips are 1/3 the weight of your squats does that mean you have strong triceps or weak squats?

GF and I broke up, living at the gym the next couple weeks, shit helps so much

I do sets of 10 bodyweight dips and my squat 10rm is like 135kg or something and i'd say my upper body is significantly weaker then my lower body. Would say 1/3 of your squat is pretty strong

Flat mate just brought me a bunch of bacon, sausages and potatoes from m&s (expensive grocery store) and she's aesthetic as fuck hnnnnnnnnnnng and have banged already.

Yea, usually in the higher weight classes with 48 hour weigh ins (which I think is a bit too much) that SPF (and one other fed) does.

245 cut to 220 and then rehydrate to 245 and then another 10-15 pounds of bloat on to 260. Maybe 50 pounds is pushing it but about 30 pounds is typical for some top level guys.

Wait, how the FUCK can you even come close to fitting in a 511?

Even in smaller weight classes.

One of my coach's clients, who is a fighter, recently weighed in at 145 for featherweights and on fight night he was 177. That's 32 pounds right there.

yeah shits crazy in pl, in weightlifting you maybe have enough time to rehydrate some before you need snatch your opener.

Haha yea which would be easier for me.

But since everyone else plays by these rules (except USAPL/IPF), I will too if I want to have competitive numbers.

I'm squatting like 1.6xBW right now (275 lbs) and dipping BW+100. I do a ton of tricep work, though, because I don't wanna look like a gym bro gorilla.

Trying to get my squat back up to 300, which has been a longer battle than I thought. It really fucks with you to move it from the beginning to the end of your workout. I went down like 30 lbs.

just tried on a t-shirt that fitted well when i was 135lbs. Its tight now, but i can still fit in it. I've gone up 8" in jeans sizes since then. Dont understand how i can fit in a size small t-shirt at 200lbs with a 43" chest.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure it looks terrible on you.
