It has been 2.5 weeks since my hip arthroscopic surgery. Apparently the tear in my labrum was among the most severe they have seen. Good news though is the cartilage in the surrounding area is very good which means likelihood of needing a replacement is low, at least in the near-term.
Still on one crutch for another 5-7 days. Strength is slowly coming back to the area - couldnt even lift my leg immediately after the surgery. Should be able to do upper body work at the gym in a few weeks, lower body will take longer, probably another couple months, need to progress with PT first. Pretty frustrating but will be better long-term, cant wait to be able to DL again without pain. Feels like I am eating the same but weight has been dropping, have lost 5-10lbs since the surgery. Going to bulk hard once I can really get back to lifting.
