I can tell you for a certainty, you are not even close to the point of "if I don't put on weight, my ____ won't increase."

Your issues are the moment are probably a mix of form issues, technique issues, injuries, and intensity (aka not busting your ass enough).

I dont think my shoulder problem really affects the weight i can push. Technique i feel is decent, not perfect by any means but better than some people who are benching a lot more than me. As for intensity, i reach failure on every workout, the last couple of reps are usually real grinders that go up slowly, and i often try and go for one more and end up dropping the bar on my chest. I mean im seriously fucking destroying myself to force out those 6-8 shitty reps at 140lbs.

Let's see a video.

Shoulder issues greatly affect the poundage one can push.

Yeah i`ll see if i can get a video next weekend. My shoulder doesn't really hurt or feel weak during the lift or anything, just have some discomfort later in the workout and afterwards, and it's only a very recent issue, but i've struggled with my bench forever.

To be quite frank, it's not just your bench. If anything it seems like your bench is the strongest compared to the rest of your lifts.

I suck at benching. I use 25 pound dumbells right now and it feels heavy, 4 x 10. Few months I will be over head pressing more than I bench.

+1

cannot bench anything near half my deadlift or within 100lb of my squat.

My bench has shot straight up since I started doing it two months ago. Only did DB's before.

110 x 5 at the start and did 145 x 6 today. Clearly noob gains, though.

I'm probably gonna stall it soon. I have problems with my overhead mobility in my left arm from an old accident. I haven't been able to increase my DB shoulder press for a year. Stuck at 10 reps with 40 pound DB's shog[1].gif

Edit: My lifts for the big three for 5 reps are: 145/165/240

Is this weird? Squat is horrible because of form problems. Currently working on hamstring flexibilty and not rounding lower back.

I had the same reaction. Given your squat and DL numbers, your bench doesn't actually seem out of whack. You may be focused on bench numbers, but overall, your strength-to-weight ration isn't very good - though I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Are you actively doing anything to fix this overhead mobility?

Anybody know an app where you can customize daily calories and nutrient percentages or grams and do it day by day?

I'm supposed to be doing zig zag with set percentages and It would be nice to integrate my goals in a calorie tracker app
