I have a strong back though frown.gif I can row more than I can bench. My program has like a 3/1 or 4/1 pull to push ratio. I see what you're saying though. Here's my friends answer too

Yes to your first question--but you're probably not in true internal humeral rotation most of the time. Your scapulae are translated forward, so even though your arms are internally rotated relative to your torso, they're not internally rotated at the glenohumeral joint.

yes your friend sound rights but you probably have shit for scapular stability and/or your pecs are too tight.

Whats a good test / retest for scapular stability? I know I have tight pecs but it's not too bad because I pass all the assessments on "Assess and correct", I've been doing a ton of soft tissue work in that area (myself and seeing a massage therapist) and stretches.

I'm trying to build scapular stability with my workouts and I am improving.

Here's my workouts, maybe I'm missing something:

Every workout I start with soft tissue work in the area I'm lifting in and do mobility stuff from Magnificent Mobility and Assess and Correct.

Monday
Banded Pullups 5x5
Overhead Press 5x5
Facepulls 4 x 12
Front/Side Lat Raises 4 x 8
Barbell Curls 4 x 10
Grip Work
Abs

Tuesday
Deadlift 5x5
Banded Good Mornings 5 x 10
Leg Press 5 x 10
Bridges 5 x 10
Grip Work
Abs

Thursday
Flat Dumbell Bench 5x10
Bent over Barbell Rows 4 x 10
Incline Dumbell Bench 3 x 10
Inverted Smith Rows 4 x 10
Band Pull Aparts 4 x 10
Cable Rows 4 x 10
Abs

Friday
Lunges 5 x 8
Banded Abducters / adducters 3 x 15
Banded Leg Curls 4 x 12
Calf Raises 4 x 12
Abs

I think it's just going to be a slow burn. My plan of attack is soft tissue work, mobility, strengthening, and sleeping on my back with palms up throughout the night. I think if I just stick to this and not let anything deter me from the course I should have it healed up. I've just learned how hard healing an injury is and it doesn't happen over night. One muscle strain can cause 4 other muscles to become messed up.

I've got a bunch of shoes that I'm trying to unload. Realized I really like when my shoes don't have much if any heel to toe drop...
