The only real drawback to gaining 50lbs over the last year is that I am now always warm. Its horrible, I think it needs to go down to 45 degrees or so for me to be cold enough to put on any sort of layer. Must cool down somehow.
Does anyone get completely defeated when it comes to thinking about how life in general sets us up to be a complete pussy. Oh you work a desk job, like every other american, enjoy your internally rotated shoulders.. Oh you sit for the majority of your day, have fun with hyperlordosis... It bugs me that living a normal life sets us up for all this shitty posture problems that will eventually lead to an injury in the gym. I had a friend who had perfect posture and was an amazing lifter, thing is he didn't work and lived off his brother. He had all the time in the world to do stretches and self massage stuff all day then go and lift.
Im stopping all protein shakes with sucralose in for a trial, because i believe they are giving me bladder problems. About 14 months ago i ordered my first batch of flavoured whey, a couple of months later the problems started gradually, and has been constant since. Have been to the doctor and they found no apparent cause, ultrasound of bladder and kidneys normal. I found quite a few sites where people had similar problems from artificial sweetener. Symptoms are: needing to piss all the time, bladder not feeling empty. Apparently this shit ends up in the bladder and irritates it. I just bought 10kg of flavoured whey so might have to sell it all if it does prove to be the problem, lol.
Besides actually training under an Oly coach, anyone has a good resource/tips for training clean technique?
I asked the same questions a while back but I don't remember getting any answers. I was hoping to find something on the interwebz that had videos demonstrating proper form.
I have pretty big calfs form sports but they are not super cut, I do not want my calves to get bigger but I want them to be toned. Any recommendations? (If my calves get bigger some of my pants wont fit.)
Talked with a guy at the gym today. 45 years old. Probably 5'2, said he was mid 140s. Banged out a 365lb triple with ease on squat. Still competes and is going for 400 in his next competition. Benches around 275. Pretty damn impressive.
Have you done any rehab? Have you tried working it with your fingers? Lacrosse ball? Anything?
My friend and trainer/coach.
Yeah I'm fingering that shit all day, my students call me "pervert" because I'm touching my chest all the time. No stretches get to it, that's the problem. I need to use weights but only can do that at the gym.
