Also been looking at some lifting shoes, probably go for the adidas power perfect 2, they seem to get good reviews and a guy at my gym has them and they look pretty cool as well. I reckon they would be a big help for me seeing as half my trouble in squats is getting depth without falling forward, apparently thats one of the things they help with.

starting a new routine next week. this oly stuff isn't working - don't have a good place to do it consistently, just not worth it.

bench, flies, skull crushers, incline bench, squat, gm, squat, leg press, power squat, deadlifts, gm, leg press, lunge/squats, pullups, rows, pulldowns, facepulls, upright rows...bring on the pain..

You shouldn't look to the shoes as a crutch...

lagrarrarrrr et. al: trying to polish up my clean form.. Where is the bar roughly when you guys dip all the way down into a front squat? I'm having a hard time doing it any lower than mid-quad, which is absolutely wrecking my form at the top.. Tips?

do you mean where the bar hits at the top of my 2nd pull or what, when I squat under the bar it's going up obviously.

Yeah, after the bar is off the ground and you are pulling into a front squat, where is the bar in relation to your leg? I want to make sure I'm squatting with the bar at the right height.

do you know what the 2nd pull is?

for me the final contact point of the bar is high upper thigh

this has a lot to do with limb length and grip width obviously. you can even see some coaches pimping a reeeeaally wide grip for their lifters in order to get bar height (see the IRI U77 @ the OG)

Made 5 lbs of Barbacoa beef. Some delicious shit and super cheap too. $20 gets you 5 lbs of chuck and i have most of the the spices already (just gotta buy some chillis)

<3 my slow cooker.

EDIT: A pic of said barbacoa (work salad bar provided the greenz)

I'm totally bored with working out, although I look halfway decent right now.
