Thinking about not re upping with Ex. Might just do 5/3/1 again with 3k calories a day at 40% prot, 35% fat, 24% carbs and just see where that takes me...

Hit some higher weights on rack pulls and leg press. Feeling good, end of deload.
Maybe I'm back to simply lifting heavy shit. Flip some tires

Also, at one point on Friday, of the 8 people working out in the weight room, I was the only one NOT doing a biceps curl of some kind.

The guy next to me did 5 different variations of bicep curls, machines and bar. He then asked one of his bro buds (who was doing a 1/5th ROM heavy squat with spotter) to spot him on his curls. It was one of the biggest "what the hell did I just experience?" moments I've had at a gym.

Yoga today while fasted. Pigeon pose was super clutch. Got a crazy glute opening for 8 breaths and when i went into downward dog it felt like an entirely new stretch. I feel like my glutes and my biceps never get good stretches so pigeon pose + bow are super great.

Everyone should do yoga. feels so good man.

Also, i'm drunk.

Pigeon pose:

In yoga you count in terms of breaths which are like, one long breath in and one long breath out. It's about 10 seconds all told.

8 Breaths is considered a fairly long stretch.

Also Glute opening = glute stretch.

My favorite instructor translated yoga speak to like, lifter speak, but her class is a little intense for what i want it for (recovery) so i've stopped going.

+1. I started a couple weeks ago and love it so far; in fact, I have a class today in about an hour. Also signed up for a yoga for runners class that I'll start this Wednesday.

Took a video of my bent over rows from today for no real reason. weight is 160. I think i've got a lower back sprain, slight pain in one side, been wearing my belt for pretty much everything to try and take the stress off it, really hoping i dont have to take time off to heal it.

You lift more weight doing bent over rows than bench? Looks pretty good anyway.

How much do you guys rest in between sets?

Do you just start the other set when you feel you're ready or do you time it?

I'm currently resting 3 mins for all big compound lifts except deadlifts which get 5 mins . Assistance lifts get 1.5-2.5 minutes.

Yeah easily, 160 is my 3RM on bench and i hit it for 4 x 8 on rows. And yet my shoulders are still rounded forward which people usually say means too much pushing not enough pulling. I rest the same as you, up to 5 mins for compounds/ strength sets, 2 mins for assistance, 1 min for arms.

Thinking of dropping back day completely now that I'm climbing so much, was doing 5.6s 4 weeks ago, now I'm flashing 5.10b's and won my category at a comp yesterday, probably helps that I'm 6'1 and have spidermonkey limbs and was already in good shape.

I don't post much here, just lurk a lot. But you don't bend over nearly enough for a proper bent over row. Your torso should be more parallel with the ground, otherwise it hits more traps and posterior shoulders than overall back.
