I bought myself a suspension training set, like trx but half the price, for traveling. loving it. great workout in 20 minutes

This has been my experience as well which is why I am surprised I feel so good on day three.

If one trains consistently and the body is accustomed to the stress, rhabdo is less likely, right?

First lean gains workout day wherein I was able to get my full calories in the window. Gorged myself on pizza and chicken wings--feelsgoodman.

I'm going to have to prep more healthy high-calorie foods or it's going to be a salt and saturated fat-fest every three days.

Yeah, I usually see it when a newbie does intense full-body workouts(CROSSFIT FUARK YEAH!!!) or goes rock-climbing for the first time or something and overdoes it. I almost never see it in well-trained folks. Dehydration usually plays a role.

It's actually most common in de-conditioned former athletes. Complete newbies tend not to have the mental capacity to push themselves hard enough to cause that much damage. The bigger danger is guys who were serious athletes ten years ago, who have let themselves go. They have the mental capacity to push well beyond what their body is currently capable of.

INTERVAL TRAINING

1,5 years ago I fractured my arm during a handball game. The metal plate was recently removed and now the doctors said that I'm good to go. I've done some running and training at home in the last year, but nothing really serious. I really want to start playing again, although handball is a very physical sport and severe injuries are nothing out of the ordinary. In the past, I ran about 15km three times a week, but I guess interval training would be better for regaining my speed and maybe my agility(?).
Do you guys have any experiences regarding interval training? I know that it is tough as nails, but I like it that way and am willing to suffer.

Good plans etc. are really appreciated.

Thought about sprinting 100m and slowly jogging 100m alternately, but I can't possibly keep doing that for 60-90minutes?!

Reckon I have seriously f***ed up my training schedule, and driven myself into 'over-training' mode. All the classic symptoms are there
- resting heart rate is way up
- feel miserable/lethargic
- can't sleep well, but end up needing +9 hours
- lifts are 10kg down on where they were ten days ago
- have no interest in going to the gym, but feel very bad about not going
- joints and muscles ache

I have a tendency to do this when I have too much time on my hands (wife and offspring were away for 3 weeks) and when training is going well. I ended up working out something like 16 times in 20 days. On average for over 90 minutes, with a lot of sprints and 1-3RM compound lifts

It was all going so well, and then it completely went off the rails last week. So frustrating...

It sounds to me that you don't follow a program with purpose. A program with purpose limits your gym time and exerts control on the total weekly volume. If you are a high volume individual, there are plenty of programs which exceed 3 days per week.
