i have decided 8 hours of liss cardio daily is a good thing. lunch was 2 burgers, 4 slices of pizza, steak, and ice cream cake. brb going back for second piece of cheesecake on a non-cheat day. eating like a greedy fatass makes me lean bulk, come at me calorie counting.

You're Phelps-ing it. Living teh dream.

I was in my best shape in grad school. Running, cycling, and lifting proved to be a great release of tension and stress for me.

This is good to hear. I definitely don't believe I'll go completely to pot - even maintenance this summer w/o the gym convinced me I can do ok just be wising up w/ eating. It does always feel better to lift heavy objects though.

Fit looks good, Knucks, you just got some wierd underarm pull there. Assume it's lats. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

My first 2 years were PERFECT for lifting. Third year blows though. 80+ hrs a week at the hospital, 30+ hour shifts, little sleep, unpredictable schedule.

Looks good, which is shocking for someone as built as you.

I lol'd, someone said I was getting fat today until I pointed out that abs used in compound lifts (not model abs) actually make your stomach area thicker.

It's true. In some tighter T-shirts I look like I have a belly. biggrin.gif

Can see why my hero Rip recommends eating 6000 calories/day, GOMAD. I weigh 62.2 kg now. Eating 3750, 4000 on weekends, squat nearly stalling again even though I gained 1.4 kg (3 pounds) this week. At 55 kg squat, bar speed was painfully slow on last 3-4 reps. Scared to squat tomorrow. Doesn't help when gym bro puts this song on half way through my work set:

Tried eating 1000 calorie breakfast followed by glass of milk the other day and spent an hour sitting on the bathroom floor trying not vomit/cry.

On the upside, all my other lifts (minus power clean) are chugging along. Deadlift is at 65 kg, bench press 47.5 kg, overhead 37.5 kg. I power clean the empty bar from thigh, knee, and then shin (deadlift position) as an exercise, but there isn't much room to do it. Might start adding weight to it this week or next. I'll either hit somebody with the bar near the smith machine or break a mirror.

Also, this chick was telling me that whey is the best form of protein available. Kept telling everyone she was about to PR the other day doing a 60 kg deadlift with a round back. She's been training for like 8 months. brb replacing all my meals with whey shakes.

Supplement squat with leg press. Fix your squat technique. 6k cal/day is overkill and you'll be fat as fuck in a few weeks.

Just make an oats/whey/milk/PB shake if you are strugglign with breakfast. I do a 800 or so calorie shake to start the day goes down pretty easy. Whey is technically the most bioavailable form of protein, although as discussed a few pages back, eating meat etc has other benefits due to digestion time etc. Cant believe your bench is that high compared to other lifts, mine stopped at 55kg on SS while my deadlift finished on 120kg.

On another note after having a cold and eating poorly for a few days, went to the gym today and it was shocking. Lost like 10kg off all my lifts and it felt so shit and had no energy so i just left. Now going camping in the wild for a week for a work thing with only freeze dried food to live on. Probably get like 60g protein per day for a week and no lifting, with 6-8 hours cardio each day. Goodbye sweet gains.

Yeah... if you're gaining 3 lbs a week and lifts aren't going up 2.9 lbs of that is fat.
