hahaha i try to refrain from posting "lol gay" comments cuz of casual homophobia being shitty and everything, but... lol gay. wow. no offense actual homobros but holy shit, i thought the tight short-shorts and striped tank were bad and then i saw the guy wearing damned lululemon tights with a fucking blazer. the fuck

gym style = plain tee-shirt that fits, sweat shorts, nike frees. hell as long as you arent wearing underarmor that is a size too small, you're already ahead of the game

 

Generally, with a muscular injury, 4-6 weeks is safest. The facts that nothing is bothering you day-to-day and that you can do a number of other exercises pain free should make it easier to lay of what hurts. Give it a month, try something really light, work back up to heavy lifts slowly.

Got in a fight last night, had the opportunity to say come at me bro. Did double legged take down running at full speed landed in full mount smacked him up quite a bit, but he got me fairly good too. I dun did a fight club and spat blood all over his face because I was on dat der dull mount time.

While you definitely need to let the trauma of the injury heal - the sooner you can start working ROM back the better.  Bloodflow to the area will also help with recovery.  Just be smart!  One of our guys tore his pec and was back to being able to bench 225 after 4 weeks and took 405 for a spin 8 weeks after surgery.  The big key is just being smart but also doing whatever you can to help the recovery process - RICE protocol and rehab based work.  "Go where you can go" i.e. if you can only go 3 inches or so down in a movement go there for now and each week trying to improve your ROM back a bit.

Gym style = wife beater, sweat shorts cut above the knee, new balances. I don't know how ya'll can lift in shirts with sleeves...feels so constricting! And how are you supposed to mire your arms in the mirror between sets with a T-shirt on?

My gym style = whatever old tee shirt I have that fits, basketball shorts, a layer of under armour underneath, and if I had my way barefoot (I fucking hate lifting in shoes). That said, the gym I'm at for the next few weeks doesn't have a/c.. I broke out the under armour only outfit (shorts, under armour top, compression shorts) because it is hot as fuck there. The few days I wore a tee I burned up and had to take it off anyway. heh.

I don't object to wearing UA as your only outfit, at any rate. It's what I do when I play basketball, tennis, football, ... etc. So much more comfortable than a tee.

I thought of you at the gym today when I was like "fuck it, going to OHS after FS." I already matched my old PR from the last time I OHS (around september).

On the subject of FS, I had to bail on my heavy set again. Got 1 rep and about 2/3 the way up on rep 2 I started falling forward.. any tips brahs?

gym swag is any old t-shirt, adidas singlet or some shitty dept store sweats and adipowers. my gym doesn't have mirrors so it's cool

if you fold over on front squats abdominal strength is the answer. the heavier you go, the less you can allow your upper back to round and expect to make it out of the hole

upper back needs to be hella strong as well (rhomboids and what have you)

also if you're sticking your ass out there and not focusing on keeping your back as vertical as possible can be an issue as well. it's more of an up-down knees-out-of-the-way thing than a sit-back thing with FS and high bar.

think about driving your elbows and chest up, keep the bar as close to your throat as possible.

Was with some girls (not gf she always hating on the fighting), brah tried steal ones of the girls cigarettes, was like wtf is this phaggot brah doing, didn't realise I said it so loud. Brah got really offended started yelling shit at me. Do not know what he was thinking because he was like 5'6" and maybe 130lb tops. Girls I was with and some boy pulled me off whilst I yelled memes. Went to mcdonalds because this was like 7am so it was open. He comes in like half an hour later. Was on that jersey shore time eye balling the fuck out of him, before he leaves he throws a full drink at me and walks off. Do not think he expected the double legged take down or like any confrontation because he didn't exactly run. After I hit him some fat girl he was with screamed and pulled me off and I was like wtf and in that time he hit me. He was weak as fuck though so I didn't really feel it and just spat the blood in his face.


He was wearing a holister hawaiin shirt, skinny jeans and plimsols, he deserved it man. My eye has like a little red blood dot in it and half my lip is swollen pretty bad. I think the reason he got mad was because he seemed pretty gay and he couldn't tell I said phaggot with a ph. I think he hit me with something glass because I heard something crack when he hit him and nothing in my face broke.
