Your erectors are always working for 9/10ths of the deadlift, stabilizing your lumbar curve throughout almost the entire movement. How much were you pulling? Once I get above 3 plates, I can feel the tension/pressure on my lumbar curve if it starts to round forward, so I know when my form is breaking down and know when to back off a bit if I'm too tired.
255 (90% of 1RM+10) for 5 reps. DL is my (proportionally) weakest lift by far. I'm pretty sure my problem was that i was lower-back up-pulling rather than hip forward-driving.

Holy shit, flax seed oil is disgusting! Made the mistake of mixing it with my protein shake and I'm just choking it down.

Haha I swallow it off a spoon and chug it with water, I made the mistake of mixing that stuff once. Cardio is fun, running is not. Getting stoned and going for hour-long powerwalks first thing in the morning = awesome. Kettlebell conditioning = awesome. I would argue that low-impact cardio and appropriate conditioning work augments lifting in a positive way; improved conditioning means better recovery which has obvious positive implications for weightlifters. Anyone who argues otherwise, just take some NotAPussy, it'll fix ya right up.

Not a fan of running, but I'll go through spurts of it every couple of months, just to make sure I can still go a distance without keeling over.

I prefer fasted walks in the morning or at night. If I'm at the gym, I'll take some jumping rope, weight complexes or stairclimber before I'll run.

Mix it with rice and whatever else you are eating with rice (I am Indian, so it is usually some curry dish with enough spices that it can hide the taste of just about anything.. ). It should enough to mask the taste, although I have got used to just choking it down when necessary.

Damn... was feeling a bit shoddy yesterday, but I decided to do legs anyway (because why miss training for just a common cold, right) - well now I'm reaping the whirlwind, have a nice fever going and all the usual greatness that goes with it.

Shit. I hate being sick. Probably doesn't do wonders for my productivity either, so my thesis is pretty much on hold.

tl;dr, got the flu, am pissed.

I'd like to gain 10+lbs doing just bodyweight by the year's end.

Would be very helpful to have a way to add weight to your chins/dips, assuming you're incorporating these. It sort of defeats "bodyweight", but adding weight will definitely help in terms of growth/strength.

Huh- I use flaxseed or Udo's on occasion with my chocolate whey... just tastes a bit nutty/a little sweet.

You're keeping it chilled, right?

^This.

Flax oil usually doesn't taste that bad, so make sure it hasn't spoiled. It can go rancid real fast if not refrigerated and even then, I think has a relatively short shelf life.

Assuming you are talking about 10+lbs of muscle, it would be quite an achievement to do so even with the help of weights in 2 months.

Switching to dumbbells on my bench... how much should I drop the weight by?
Had an horrible workout today. Couldn't do my usual squats (even my form was horrible), neither my bench press or incline dumbells press. Had to be extra careful with my deadlifts too. Wtf! I wonder if I should take wenesday off (I work out monday, wenesday and friday. 5x5)? Or pursue like nothing happened? I know having a week off is a good thing to have after a few weeks and it's been 8 weeks non-stop so far and everything was fine till today, should I take a break?
