haha no worries. I figure at the very worst I'll be cautionary tale for the next poor schmo who gets pumped and busts out a bunch of reps faster than gravity wants you too.

Saw a huge body builder who prob weighs like 200lb and like 8% bf squat 200kg with a pussy pad. Is it still a pussy pad when your squatting 200kg or is it just a pad then?

Getting like SS kind of gains on my bench press recently. Took it up 7.5kg over the last week. 3x5 bench 3x5 close grip bench 5x5 heavy shit form dumbbell rows and 5x10 face pulls seems to be working pretty well. Will get that 100kg bench one day. I stopped bouncing the bar on my warm up sets after you wrote that a few weeks ago, it's so fun to do with like 60kg, but i guess its not worth the risk. Noticed I can lift more when I don't eat much before I train and when i train right after I wake up. Normally i shovel down about 2000 calories in the morning before I train, but now its just a bowl of oats or rice and maybe a scoop of whey.

yes its still a pussy pad because he's probably worried about the barbell leaving marks on his precious delts.

In training news.

Did speed pulls again today. It's really fun just tossing around 320.

Getting amped for Monday's deadlift max.

So so fun. Im probably doing my speed work at too high a percentage, 50% just feels like nothing. 75% for doubles seems to work better for me.

75% is a bit too high for speed pulls. Knock it down to about 55-65% of your 1rm.

3 sets of 4 or 4 sets of 4 is a nice simple way to do them.

What kind of gains are you seeing with speed pulls?

Nothing so far, since this is the second time doing them in recent history.

I was throwing them in a bit to work on explosiveness and to get some light work in without overexertion so I could be prepared for my max pull on Monday.

fuckkk shoulder injuries are no fun. on the upside, i get my bro on, nice pump from bitch weights at high reps and volume. 3x20 pullover, 4x20 facepull and 3x10 jm press makes you weak like bitch but pumped like bro.

Yeah, I hear you. Earlier this year I was super fucking freaked out b/c my shoulder was really giving me a lot of grief. I thought I had a SLAP tear in there or something. I had to basically axe all my jerks just because I thought my shoulder was crapping out on me.. well, I talked to an old lifter at our gym and he gave me one single tip that cleared everything right up.
It turned out that my jerk rack position had been really bad, I was holding the barbell way out in front (probably bc I was used to pressing with the bar held more towards the palm) and that made a huge arc in the bar path, basically giving me this numb pain in my infraspinatus on every rep. Well, I moved the barbell to my clean rack position, jerked it, and like magic there was no pain.

I'm just glad it wasn't anything bad.

Water immersion is going to be the most accurate.

Calipers can be all over the place depending on the person that performs the test. But when taken by the same person at the same time of day (usually same day of the week too), it can offer great precision for tracking bf - not accuracy.

Thought the same thing myself. While encouraging, the number I got back on the caliper test just did not seem physically reasonable. In terms of variance/margin of error... what's the range on caliper tests?
