Yeah, I hear you. Earlier this year I was super fucking freaked out b/c my shoulder was really giving me a lot of grief. I thought I had a SLAP tear in there or something. I had to basically axe all my jerks just because I thought my shoulder was crapping out on me.. well, I talked to an old lifter at our gym and he gave me one single tip that cleared everything right up.
It turned out that my jerk rack position had been really bad, I was holding the barbell way out in front (probably bc I was used to pressing with the bar held more towards the palm) and that made a huge arc in the bar path, basically giving me this numb pain in my infraspinatus on every rep. Well, I moved the barbell to my clean rack position, jerked it, and like magic there was no pain.
I'm just glad it wasn't anything bad.
