I'm thinking bout Ironwork 3's as my next pair or maybe Nike Romaleos if I can shill out the currency. Too bad TA fees just went down at the economics department, might have to hold out a bit longer for new kicks.

Funny, I was talking shoes with some of the competitive lifters at my gym and the consensus seemed to be that power perfect 2's were kinda shit - it seemed they had a sole that was somewhat squishy, and as you undoubtedly know that's something you really don't want.

I love the diverging lat pull down. Plate loaded with 2 handles which you pull down and the weights are on the other end. So much better than the stack version, can really feel it working the lats and feels much more natural. Also been using the T-bar row "machine" which is just a pivoting arm with a platform to stand on and the weights loaded infront of you. Both feel like compound exercises and certainly better than barbell rows which i could never get on with.

yeah I would have gotten the ironworks if I could find em but this was the best I could do. Seems like there to a be a lacking of mid range options in shoes. Most around $100 ish and then $200 ish. I paid $173 shipped for the adistars because adidas had a $40 off thing for cyber monday.

My first pair was the powerlift trainers which were alright. But the adistars are so much better its not even funny. Adidas.com has a really great return policy so I'm returning the powerlifts even though i used them for 3 months.

What is everyone's view of those foam barbell pads? I initially started using them when doing squats but it doesnt seem like anyone else does.

they suck and will ruin your bar position. i dont see any reason to use them

They raise bar position making it more of a high bar position then a low bar position. They're also make you look like a pussy. Don't really think about it when the bars on my back, pain in legs is more prominent.

Depends on where your weak spots are at the time will be the basis for what's more sore afterwards.

My "most sore" part changes.. at times, the mid back, hammies, glutes.. but rarely the upper back.

You might be "shrugging" it up at the top. Which I suggest you don't do.

I am not sure if i'm shrugging or flexing my shoulder blade back/puffing out chest at the top. i thought you were suppose to lift up then flex hip forward with chest out. perhaps i exaggerate it that area.

the next day my most sore areas from DL have always been my back in general, but that maybe due to my assistant lifts (DL day includes lat/chin pull downs)

i do not feel sore anywhere in my legs except when performing the exercise. =\
