Just have to work up to it really and gradually increase weight. The other way to do it is to get a pair of straps, wrap the bit that goes around your wrist around the bar and unrack the bar onto the top of your shoulder and just bend your arms back and grab the straps. Your wrists wont be under the bar so you won't need to have as much flexibility, but you get the stabile bar position of the front squat. Not so good if you're working on the C&J, but if your just front squatting its great.
Skitlets, don't worry about taking time between reps on your deadlift, I take much longer then that. Take as much time as you need.
