Can anyone comment on those pullup bars that are held in place by the casing above a door? My apt complex gym doesn't have a bar for some reason and I'm really missing it. Thinking about getting one of those contraptions.
I had one in my previous condo and it worked fine. CAUTION: read the product description carefully before buying to ensure the bar will work for your doorway thickness, clearance on either side of the door frame, and height of trim atop the door. My current abode is 100+ years old with thick doorways and wide door trim. Consequently nearly all doorway bars out there don't fit.

Reviving a mighty old thread for some advice. I'm FINALLY back to properly going to a real gym, and was looking into getting a new workout bag. Do any of y'all have bags you prefer or have made good use of in the past? I honestly have no clue where to even start, aside from the typical fitness brands like Adidas, Nike, and the like...and would prefer a more "grown up" bag.

Preference would be either a leather (probably not that practical haha) or a canvas bag, ideally with 2-3 external pockets.

Any thoughts?

The bags from Rains are nicely priced and decent looking enough for a gym bag IMO

^The irony is, that little orang will grow up to be able kill almost any of us--no matter how strong or skilled in combative arts we may be--with his bare hands!

I've heard those things have an unbelievable grip, which stands to figure if you spend your days swinging from tree to tree.

^Oh, hi, Jack! Didn't know you were still around. The son of your old Dragnet partner, Ben Alexander, is one of my oldest and closest friends.
