Snow - Page 16

Morning news just said there is 16 inches in Central Park. That is a lot of snow by NYC standards.

A nice sunny, albeit cold, day in these parts.

How competent is the NYC government when it comes to snow removal? I'm planning on coming up to NYC next Friday. Assuming no additional snow and above-freezing temperatures next week, will the streets be plowed and the sidewalks be walkable?

NYC will be fine. They don't have a choice. For dc it didn't matter since the government could always close.

Next Friday? We'll be fine by tomorrow evening. NYC is quite good at snow removal, although I'm not sure they expected nearly this much snow"”I certainly didn't. There will probably still be slushy corners, though, so bring boots you don't mind getting wet and salty.

Just imagine 16 inches of snow and no place to put it. Every building and business owner is responsible for keeping their sidewalks clean. That being said, the sidewalks are still going to be messy so break out the beaters and keep the good shoes in their boxes.

I'm about to fire up the snowblower and get rid of all this snow.

Dug my car out and I'm wiped. Sick of this weather. Wanna go back to sleep and wake up in the spring!

Moving from Nashville back to Philly tomorrow. Hoping to get lucky and not run into any snow on the way.

i recently got back from Berlin. I live in Australia. though I love the snow, and my genetics are from that area of europe. after 2-3 weeks it began to piss me off, i.e. having to get ready to go out into the cold. nice photo of the car there lol
