My brother and his wife live near Arlington. They're supposed to drive to her parents' place in North Carolina on Sunday for the holidays. Good luck with that.

The seven-day forecast shows we're barely going to get anything. Big thumbs up from me.

Only 2-3 inches expected in these parts later tonight and tomorrow.

I hope it doesn't snow there at all!

I have never touched, tasted, smelled snow... and I've only seen it on mountain tops from an airplane. when I was a kid I used to wish we also have a white christmas, but at my age I'm damn happy I'm wearing a t-shirt and shorts on my christmas break.

Thank you Bob Ryan. I plan on being out of the house and shoveling by 9:00am, I plan on complaining about my neighbors not shoveling by 10:15am.

At least the dogs seem to enjoy it.

Ha! I'll have to take some pics of my Yorkies in the snow. They're calling for, depending on the reports, 16 to 30 inches here in Baltimore. I think there's only about 4 inches out there now, but it is supposed to snow all day and into tomorrow. A little break now - I'm probably going to run out and stock up on some firewood, something for dinner, and make sure we have plenty of tape for wrapping presents.

My dog is enjoying the snow, pretty unusual to get snow this time of year in Kent, and seems to be under the impression he is a polar bear. For me that charm has rather gone out of it as the heating has broken down.
