Inverallan - Page 5

Read on some forum that Inverallan will continue to produce items for some retailers, but stop the personal order service (too many orders). This is a little bad news, since the prices for sure is a lot higher when not ordering directly. + of course it will be hard to find exactly what you're looking for. By the way I was going to order a grey/orange nordic knit.

Did you bother to read a few posts above yours?

Sorry, didnt see that. But weird of them to close the whole website.. Any similar brands you recomend? Anyone tried anything from Jamieson's?

Is there a way to order from Jamieson's? I've only ever seen in Japan or on Oi Polloi . . .

I havent tried, at least they dont seem to have an order form. A real shame with Inverallan. Should I expect them to answer my emails?

I got an answer, they have to make order in lots of 500 she said. Sad, but understandable. Good you still can get Inverallan sweaters, but it will be more expensive for sure.

We need to find a new handknit maker pronto

Yeah, any alternatives? I regret not making a big order before the summer..Inverallan is, together with sns herning, the best of its kind.

Is that hat they did for inventory standard? I loved that in red. Anyone know of any other equivalents out there?

I have 3 Jamieson's knits. Because I like fair isle knits, and they make some descent ones. However compared to Inverallan, they are shit.

It is really a shame, that they have ceased their production. Bonner of Ireland and Inis Meain are alternatives, but they aren't too similar.

Inventory will be selling them again this fall.

The Jamieson's, which Ben Silver in Charleston carries, are similar to the J Press Shaggy dog sweater.

After many years of business we have decided to retire. Many thanks to all our loyal customers.

Read the rest of the thread. They no longer do individual orders. They will continue working with retailers.
