which size?

Not sure to be honest. I usually take 36, but as I understand these fit a bit tighter. Maybe 36 vs 38 vs 40 if you have it available?

No I have not. Have you checked from the Rakuten? I think I've seen charts there. End clothing had a size chart too but I am not sure if they still have.

I am a 36 in most brands. I find the 3A tighter than the 6A. I tried to measure them and the single 38" I have which is a 1A. Obviously it is difficult to be accurate with knits as they stretch, but I tried to get similar tension on each and got measurements of:

(chest/bottom of collar down back/bottom of collar down sleeve)

36 in 6A: 19"/26"/29"
36 in 3A: 19"/23"/26"
38 in 1A: 20"/27.5"/28"

Depends what you mean by equivalent? There seem to be a few Scots makers supplying the local tourist trade. My wife bought me a jumper back from visiting Scotland, it is very similar to Inverallan in weight, construction and material and was just labelled "Glencroft".

Otherwise if you are looking for high quality wool and construction then Irish brand Inis Meain are probably up there with Inverallan but they are not similar in that you'd never mistake one for another; IM often use cashmere blends and are much tighter weaves, lighter but still very warm, some quite distinctive designs. I would guess they're not hand knitted.

Funny, my sky blue 6a just arrived today from Mandon - at that price I couldn't refuse. Like others have said, the quality is astounding for the money. The fit is pretty slim (my 38, which would be my default size in anything, is more mid-layer than outer). The sky blue wouldn't be my first choice, but I can happily live with it.

Got so disappointed looking at end today, thought they had a 1A in navy left in my size and it was charcoal. plain.gif

The retailers that carry them are mentioned in this thread .. End Clothing, Mandon Store, Inventory Stockroom .. er, can't think of any others.

End still carry a fair bit of their stuff but generally the start of the northern hemisphere summer isn't a good time to be looking, there will be an AW release at the usual time I guess. Assuming of course they are still in business by then, they seem to be constantly on the edge of closing up shop.
