What's the word on Duffel Coats? - Page 11

That jacket is cool, but I don't know how it constitutes a duffel? Why b/c it has a hood? This jacket is a hybrid of a lot of things, and those mid-pockets are very much Peacoat inspired.

yeah, i agree. which is why i phrased it as such... but the product name is duffle plain. i like that it has some hybrid qualities. i tried to get orvis to order one in store so i could check it out, but they couldn't get one. i don't wanna order all the way from the UK to decide if i like it or not.

yeah i think so, mine is black. it's nice and slim cut but really warm. highly recommended.

Yeah, that's a cool Barbour jacket - I'm jogging my mind as to where in NYC I can try it on.

FYI, I looked up "duffel" in the dictionary and it is "a blanket fabric made of low-grade woolen cloth with a nap on both sides" so technically a duffel coat embodies a lot of things. Over the years, it has become synonymous with togges, but Barbour's calling it a duffel is vindicated by that definition.

the problem with the barbour is the price-point in the united states. it's 249 pounds in the UK, and even with shipping and the conversion rate from the UK it comes out to about 100 bucks cheaper than north river outfitter has it priced at.

I wasn't too smitten with the 3sixteeen duffles when I looked at them before, but that camel one looks really cool.

Just got in our stock yesterday. This is probably the most amazing piece I've come across for fall/holiday. Even as a firm supporter of 3Sixteen I still can't believe how beatiful this coat came out:

3Sixteen duffles look great, but they're way too short for tall dudes like me.
