Oh I was so dismayed about him. He introduced me, at an impressionable young age, to what became my favorite wine of all -- the noble Sauternes. Probably one of the first things I cooked was his roast chicken. Of course there was also the wonderful "Great Chefs of...." series, with the announcer whose voice I was in love with, at, six or so. ~ H

sorry, the frug was a fraud. his food sucked. his one contribution was making people feel like cooking was possible. and even before all that came out ... he was a very nasty man.
