i heart my mac

multi-touch trackpad means i never have to hit the back button on my browser ever again. i can go back, forward, up, down, and switch programs with a flick of the wrist. using quicksilver, i can add any song to my current playlist with a few keystrokes without even switching to itunes. ical, apple mail work with my google accounts simply and beautifully. same with organizing pics in iphoto. and preview makes pdfs look pretty and not like bad photocopies of bad photocopies.

flamers hate on mac for all kinds of reasons: expensive, windows isn't vulnerable to viruses anymore, mac fans are ugly hipsters, ubuntu is free, whatever. but they can't say a damn thing about a mac's elegance.

I do like the PDF presentation Apple gives, I do have to comment to concur with that. As well as with multi touch you can page through them. The multi touch track pad really is pretty cool. I recently "switched" not to sound like a douche and both have their ups and downs, but Macs have more gimmicky stuff that seem more futuristic.

Fanboyism, especially when it is for an operating system, is a clear sign of either virginity (Windows) or teh ghey (Mac). This is clearly displayed in the post you quoted.

I, for one, have 2 of the 3 installed. Cannot find a reason to install OS X yet.

I've never really understood the whole, "I'll die for (insert OS of your choice)!!1!!111!!". I, personally, like MS because I'm comfortable with it. I also like it even more, because it doesn't have the whole "lifestyle" portrayed by Apple. Also, I quoted it only because it's been a while since I heard Linux thrown into the OS debate and I lol'd. Never used Linux though.
