Sunglasses for men, what are you wearing this season? - Page 2

Oliver Peoples aviators

I bought one pair of "nice" sunglasses, then promptly destroyed them. Now I stick to cheapos.

I do have one interesting pair given to me by astronomers who use them while working on radio telescopes. They're not stylish, but boy, do they block out glare.

Vintage Ray Bans with the 14kt goldfilled frames and the glass lenses would be the most authentic.

Both make something like you're looking for, from $30-$90. Tom
The earpieces run straight back, but I'm not the biggest fan of it. They're a bit big and clunky looking. So while I'm considering the authentic stuff... yeah.

Truck stop aviators for me.

Aviators are now officially "Hot". And since I like to Zig when all about me are Zagging, I'm resting my aviators for the foreseeable future.

Here are two of my favorites. Persol and Porsche Carerra.

I've been wearing the same pair of Prada sunglasses for the past 3 years. Thick plastic frame and these stay on my face better than any other pair I've ever owned/tried on. If I lost or broke these, I'd buy another pair immediately.

This season? I've been wearing the same pair of RayBan sunglasses for the past three years or so and I love them. Hopefully they will last forever. They look stylish but not outlandish, they are nice and heavy (not like the cheap things you buy for $12 that break in two weeks) and the lenses are awesome at keeping out the glare.

I think I have the exact same ones, though I took steel wool to my frames and made them chrome instead of the blackened chrome they were when I got them. (The coating started chipping off, so I took all the rest of it off). I like them a lot and they have held up for a long time, though the lenses try to pop out once in a while.

Maui Jim, metal frames as in this small pic (all i have) for driving and casual wear. Some cheapo, but surprisingly decent looking, metal frames for beach and messing around.

GS, if you love them to death, buy another pair right now. Fashion houses tend to discontinue items with no notice.

Odoreater and J, I have the same ones, polarized as well in a brown/yellow plastic lens. I've only had them a week, but they are great. I only wish they had glass lenses.
