Any cool places for drinks/food near Times Square

Meeting up with the wife tonight for a show near Times Square. I know it's mostly touristy stuff there but I haven't lived in the city for like 6 years and really am not sure of any cool places somewhat closeby. Any recommendations in that general mid town area? Thanks.

I also don't know exactly what you are looking for, but a chill place for drinks (not at rush hour) can be Campbell Apartment in Grand Central.

Thanks. Grand Central is a bit far though. We'll be more Westside.

I like BXL Cafe - great Belgian place and the tourist suckers go into the Heartland Brewery next door.

Another vote for BXL. If either of you are Scotch drinkers, there's also St. Andrew's Pub.
