How about those Tigers? - Page 13

I have no real preference for the National League, but I wouldn't mind Mets and Tigers, though, I really can't take Keith Hernandez talking about how great '86 was every 5 minutes, the guy is like a broken record. I really hope that Floyd or Wright makes some stupid move that costs them the series and goes down in history as a huge blunder. (sorry to be such a bitter Red Sox fan)

Who's your Tiger?

Last night, Alexis Gomez!

It was sad to see Sean Casey's jersey hanging on the wall of the dugout.

I am not saying the Series is over but there is a lot of pressure going back to Detroit with that insane crowd we have. What team could be up 2 games and go on to lose the ALCS? No team could!!! Oh wait a second, I forgot about the Yankees.

Gomez had an awesome night. Very impressive. The Tigers are playing great baseball and the A's cannot seem to get runners around the bases when they need to. I agree, it is going to be difficult for the A's pull this one out. I do hope the series goes to game 6, however. I want to go to at least one more game this year.

Holding my breath, can't believe it, two games up and three at home. Leyland has the team perfectly focused ("we haven't won anything yet, lots of work to do, yadda, yadda"). Wow, this guy can really manage.

I am shocked with what Leyland has done this year. He has the team playing their best right now. There is a lot of baseball to played. I keep asking myself when should I be satisfied with this team and say they have done enough. I wasn't satisfied when I knew they would have a winning record or when they clinched a playoff spot. I wnated more after they beat the Yankees and I wanted more after last nights game. Now I want a World Series berth. I keep wanting more even though they have shocked everyone this season.

Jim Leyland for Governor!

Much better than our other choices, tweedledum and tweedledummer.

I'm voting for Granholm. But I am so disappointed by the attack ads her campaign is using. She is better than that! Come on, Jennifer, take the high road. (In the tradition of Bill Milliken!)

As for tweedledummer, Dick "Amway" DeVos, he is a flim flam man. All PR and no substance. I do not trust him. His ads are all negative. They have been on the air since FEBRUARY! Mud slinging at its worst.

Yes, Leyland is the man.

And for "Mayor", Sean Casey!

The A's play the Tigers in frigid weather today, looks like this is the end for them.

It will be interesting to see how the weather affects the game. A's starter, Harden, grew up in Canada. Tigers starter, Rogers, grew up in Texas.

Current temp is 45 and falling. I wouldn't want to be in the park let alone on the mound.

I'd give anything to be in that park this afternoon! It's not the cold. It's the wind. The ball will be doing weird things tonight.

I'm forced to "watch" the game using espn.com's gamecast, but from what I can tell, Rogers is mowing down A's like dandelions.

Normally, I would agree with you. But with the way the A's have played, it's over. And, in case A's player, Milton Bradley, is reading, "The game is over."
