I have both, and I prefer the one on the left. The check is more 'interesting' and I like the dash of colour. Interestingly I always assumed I would prefer the second - but after a few months I have worn the first much more.

Also have a couple of their cashmere scarves, including a black-and-white glencheck with a purple overcheck that I recently got at Tie Your Tie in Florence - lovely

Similar but not identical? Same width? Pics?

The purple/grey cashmere one? Funny how quickly it sold out after he posted it.

Here's what's left from that series. I think the light navy might be interesting.

Have the dark navy, and can recommend that also. In my experience some of the pictures on Drakes' website exaggerate the darkness of some of their ties, so the light navy might be very light indeed

I love Drakes stuff. I have the white-dark blue small check tie, the brown-white repp tie, a couple of paisley print ties, and one of their paisley silk scarves. I just ordered from Will the red dot silk scarf he wrote about a few weeks ago. I'll try to post pics later.

I dislike some of Drakes' woven ties. The interlining is too thick for a fabric that is already hefty, making for a stiff tie.

I have the blue striped tie on that site: I think the colour in this case is pretty true.

The grey and purple tie was beautiful!

Drakes always has some interesting stuff. They make or source some very nice scarves. I also really liked the Drakes-branded shirts that Barneys carried years ago.
